Let Us Prank In the high church of radio jokesters, Phil Hendrie plays needling priest to a clueless flock of outraged callers By Paul Cullum -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You can fool some of the people all the time, and those are the ones you want to concentrate on. —George W. Bush, 2001 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PHIL HENDRIE is coming to television. Just as soon as someone can figure out what to do with him. Much like Robin Williams when he first emerged from the improv comedy clubs of early-'70s San Francisco, Hendrie—radio dog, stellar mimic, cult avatar, metatheorist and polyphrenic zookeeper—has become something of...
  • The Left vs. Fascism: Why We Gave Up

.....Today the heir to the murder machinery of 20th century fascism is the Fundamentalist Islamic Theocratic movement which is no less homophobic, anti-Semitic, anti-woman, anti-trade union and anti-democratic. It seeks to force regional, if not, global hegemony. And making its lineage to the fascists of 20Th century Europe and Asia indelible, it's weapon is terror. Terror is a part of its charter. It is rationalized by the idea of a religious mission that would drive non-believers from designated "holy lands" and re-establishing Caliphate rule, an era of Islamic ascendancy, through force. This mission is, of course, no more religious than...

Phil Hendrie is coming to television. Just as soon as someone can figure out what to do with him. Much like Robin Williams when he first emerged from the improv comedy clubs of early-’70s San Francisco, Hendrie — radio dog, stellar mimic, cult avatar, meta-theorist and polyphrenic zookeeper — has become something of a design problem: Everyone agrees he’s the best in the world at what he does, without having the slightest idea how to translate that into film or TV. For anyone who doesn’t know who Phil Hendrie is or quite grasp what he does — and it’s staggering...

An idiot from Canada was just on the Phil Hendrie show threatening the life of President Bush. Phil kept him on the line, hoping to be able to gather enough info to help the RCMP find him. On the air, the guy said that if he had the chance he would do the deed. He didn't seemed concerned at all that Phil kept him on the line, even though Phil explained why he was doing it. If he didn't have call blocking, can KFI track from where the call came? Anyone know?
