An Oregon mom in the midst of a bitter custody battle carried out a murder-suicide of her and her two children, police say. On Tuesday police found 31-year-old Ashley Palmer, her six-year-old daughter Kayleana Beatrice Palmer and eight-year-old son Xavier Rayvaughn Danger Palmer dead from apparent gunshot wounds in their Gresham apartment after following up on a welfare check. Police determined that Palmer carried out the gruesome killings before turning the gun on herself as she struggled to deal with the prospect of having to split custody of the children with her ex-wife. In 2018 Palmer separated from her 34-year-old...

A Nebraska woman will spend the rest of her life behind bars for the horrific abduction, torture, murder, and dismemberment of a female store clerk whom she met on Tinder. A three judge panel on Monday handed down a life sentence to Bailey Boswell, 26, after she was convicted of first-degree murder in the 2017 slaying of Sydney Loofe, prosecutors said.

The House of Representatives has approved an addition to the healthcare reform package. It calls for the creation of a “Healthy Teen Initiative”, and allocates $50 million to so-called “comprehensive” sex education. “This was a vote to bring science back into government”, said James Wagoner, president of Advocates For Youth and a leader of the coalition that promoted the amendment. The committee, he continued, “has taken an important step toward ensuring young people get the critical sexual health information they need to make responsible decisions about their lives.” Mr. Wagoner’s statement is astonishing, because Advocates for Youth’s sexual education curricula...

After the disasterous weekend, with the internet abuzz over a new policy to remove sales rankings from books deemed "adult," a new theory is developing that Seattle-based Amazon was the victim of conservative cyber-vandals. It was discovered that Amazon has been removing the sales rank from certain books (which identifies how popular the book is in total sales), effectively removing the book from most of the general searches people would do. If it doesn't show up in the search, most people won't find the book, and won't buy it. Most of the books identified as "adult" and removed from the...

Presidential hopefuls seeking to win conservative voters were quick to voice criticism of an Iowa county judge’s ruling to allow gay “marriage” in his county despite the state’s ban on same-sex civil “marriage.” Former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney was the first to denounce the decision by Polk County Judge Robert Hanson, who last Thursday ruled that the state’s decade-old same-sex “marriage” ban violated the couples’ constitutional rights. Romney even voiced support of a federal ban on same-sex “marriage.” “The ruling in Iowa is another example of an activist court and unelected judges trying to redefine marriage and disregard the will...

BOSTON, Nov 9 (Reuters) - Massachusetts' lawmakers on Thursday took a giant step toward killing a proposal to ban gay marriage in the only U.S. state where it is legal. With protesters on both sides of the debate rallying outside the gold-domed statehouse, lawmakers voted 109 to 87 to delay a decision on whether to back a constitutional amendment that would have given voters a chance to ban gay marriage. Gay rights advocates cheered the move, seen as a crushing blow to opponents of gay marriage who had gathered 170,000 signatures in a petition that asked lawmakers to put the...

Rabbi Akiva preferred 'love your neighbor as yourself' over the 'abomination' of homosexual sex To those Orthodox Jews who oppose the Gay Pride parade I write to you as a secular Jew, with a deep respect for you and your beliefs. But only when that respect is mutual. My principles, morals and my way of life are as important to me as Jewish law is to you. I feel no inferiority, need to apologize or discomfort with my "partial" Judaism. My cart is not empty, and my beliefs are well reasoned and crystallized. They are called secular, liberal humanism. I...

According to this article, a study shows... "Those most likely to place children with gay people are public agencies, non-religious private agencies, Jewish- and Lutheran-affiliated agencies and those focusing on special needs and international adoptions, the report said. Agencies concentrating on finding homes for U.S. infants were less receptive." I'm Lutheran, and my denomination clearly states homosexuality is wrong. So I'm surprised to read 'Lutheran-affiliated' agencies will place adoptions in gay homes. Anyone know if this is true?
