A Henrico officer is charged with sexual battery and taking indecent liberties with a child. The charges in this case were filed in Hanover County where the alleged incidents took place back in 1993. Are you offended? Get over it! According to the Washington Times, Hanover County, VA officials want to change the name of the annual “Dixie Days” Civil War commemoration to something else. The reason? Someone might be offended by the name “Dixie”. Among those that might be offended? Yankees who have moved into the county. And those who can manage to scrape together a relationship, no matter how tenuous, between Dixie, the color gray, the Gray uniforms of the Confederacy, the Confederacy itself, the South with a capital S that rhymes with S and that stands for Slavery.

RICHMOND -- The Virginia Court of Appeals yesterday upheld a judge's decision to terminate the parental rights of a man who kept his eight children isolated in a tiny, dilapidated home without electricity or plumbing.
