A major United Nations donors' conference has raised $US5.3 billion to rebuild Haiti, more than $US1 billion more than hoped for. Donor countries have offered the funds to help rebuild the impoverished Caribbean country following January's earthquake which killed 200,000 people and left 1 million homeless.
