It's remarkable to me how people don't hear the words coming out of their mouths. MSNBC wanted a sob story from a teacher about how Ron DeSantis' "Parental Rights in Education" bill is adversely affecting them. That's the legislation that critics call the "Don't Say Gay" bill, but people who have read it know it just says teachers can't push sex and gender on kids 3rd grade and under. MSNBC chose Cody Bernaert, who is upset he can't talk about his personal life to his students anymore. He teaches kindergarten. In other words, five-year-olds. "My kids do have questions. They...

Walt Disney might have been horrified. Self-appointed guardians of the "family values" label definitely would have been horrified. But there was no fear -- or even a hint of irony -- on the part of the video crew stationed in the forecourt of Cinderella's Castle at the Magic Kingdom, their camera trained on a well-toned man wearing cut-off shorts, a red T-shirt and, dangling from his neck, rainbow-colored beads. "So, tell us," said the interviewer, reporting for a tourism show to be broadcast on German TV. "What kind of man do you like?" On that first Saturday of June 1999,...

A Disney executive has vowed to drastically increase inclusivity in its productions, promising that at least 50 percent of its characters will be LGBTQ or racial minorities by the end of the year. Karey Burke, president of Disney’s General Entertainment Content, said the company must do more to make its content more inclusive in a company-wide Zoom call Monday that was later posted to Twitter. “I’m here as a mother of two queer children, actually,” Burke said on the call. “One transgender child and one pansexual child, and also as a leader.” Burke said she supports featuring “many, many” characters...

ABC’s prime-time drama A Million Little Things has already well established itself as a vehicle for pushing liberal lectures onto viewers. But the show's latest episode, “Fresh Start,” was like a woke trifecta, hitting on three favorite leftist topics - race, homosexuality, and abortion. And for the second time, the show put in a plug for abortion giant Planned Parenthood just because they can. The racial storyline was one we can all agree on this time, unlike in the past, as a main character reflects on a painful memory of being the butt of a cruel, racist prank that school...

Disney parks are axing gendered language such as "boys and girls" in their park greetings to promote gender inclusivity, according to video of a company executive. "We’ve provided training for all of our cast members in relationship to that. So now they know it's ‘Hello, everyone,’ or ‘Hello, friends,'" Disney's diversity and inclusion manager Vivian Ware was heard saying in a video conference call recorded by City Journal's Christopher Rufo. Parkgoers will no longer hear "ladies and gentlemen" and "boys and girls" in park greetings, according to the video.

A Disney executive in charge of content vowed to up the ante on gender politics during an all-hands meeting, promising that at least half of the characters in its productions will be LGBTIA or minority by the end of the year. General entertainment president Karey Burke choked up during the company-wide Zoom call Monday, saying the issue hit close to home because of her children. 'I'm here as the mother of two queer children, actually, one transgender child and one pansexual child, and also as a leader,' she said. During the same all-hands meeting, television animation executive producer Latoya Raveneau...

Tony Award-winning Broadway actress Alice Ripley has denied grooming young fans with mental health issues - but says she's sorry for befriending the women then ghosting them. Four women have accused Tony Award-winning Broadway actress Alice Ripley of 'manipulating' them and running a cult-like base of young fans. The women also made accusations of unsolicited advances. Ripley vehemently denies 'vile' accusations of grooming, saying the term has made her feel like a sex attacker, and that she inflicted no such abuse on her fans. 'It is a misinterpretation of my actions to say I manipulated anyone, and more shockingly, that...

Hit Nick Jr. children's TV show "Blue's Clues" has enlisted a former contestant from "RuPaul's Drag Race" to help teach kids and their families about Pride month. In a sing-a-long animated video, Drag Queen Nina West voices a character that leads a slew of characters through a LGBTQ+ parade. The song, set to the tune of "The Ants Go Marching," explains different kinds of family structures, including families with non-binary and trans members . "All families are made differently, and they all love each other so proudly," West sings as the famous "Blue's Clue's" blue paw print bounces over the...
