This may sound like a stupid question, I know that in full. I had to laugh a bit about the word 'Porculus' and have more than a hunch by now what it refers to. But can you kind folks enlighten me a bit more (its history, for instance, and why of all animals the swine has been chosen)? I know, I know, I could have chosen Google etc. etc. I simply thought it better to ask it right here.

In January, the state republican party heads will vote for general chairman for the Republican National Committe. Bush is pushing Mel Martinez, who has a "D" immigration rating from Americans for Better Immigration.There is also another post up for election, that of chair (not general chair). I don't know what the difference is, but the guy being pushed for that post is Mike Duncan, a national committeman from Ky. Does anybody have any info on this guy, specifically his record on immigration, spending, big government, etc?

Can anyone direct me to the comments of "The Great One" on the nomination of John G. Roberts to the Supreme Court? I've heard it referenced that he gave a glowing recommendation, but I haven't seen any actual sources for it. Also, I've heard it suggested that his wife is active in pro-life causes. Does anyone know of an HTML converter either on the internet or available for free download, that will convert pre-formatted text or tables into an HTML code. For a lot of stuff you can just right-click and view the selection source, but when it comes to creating my own stuff, a person with limited HTML knowledge can’t do much. Anyone know of anything?

A long time ago National Lampoon magazine had an ad on the back that was satire. It had a VW BUG in the water floating. The ad read "if Ted Kennedy had been driving a Beetle he would be President today." VW Bugs were supposed to float. Does anyone have that ad?
