Titled Glen Campbell Duets - Ghost on the Canvas Sessions, the full-length is a track-for-track reworking of his album Ghost on the Canvas, only this time around, Campbell has plenty of famous friends joining him–posthumously, that is. Campbell’s vocals remain the same, but now each track is a collaboration, and the order in which the songs appear on the record has been changed to make this feel both familiar and fresh at the same time. The new collaborative album includes duets with Brian Wilson of Beach Boys fame, Carole King, Eric Clapton, Elton John, Sting, Daryl Hall, and Dolly Parton, among...

That's what you get for lovin' me That's what you get for lovin' me Every thing you had is gone As you can see That's what you get for lovin' me I ain't the kind to hang around With any new love that I found 'Cause movin' is my stock in trade I'm movin' on I won't think of you when I'm gone So don't you shed a tear for me B'cause I ain't the love you thought I'd be I got a hundred more like you So don't be blue I'll have a thousand 'fore I'm through Now there...

Long interview, but the best and most in depth interview I've ever seen with Jimmy Webb. I had no idea he worked for Motown writing songs at age 17. The songs (their rights) they let him walk away with (free) when he left is chuckle worthy.

John Wayne won a Golden Globe and the Academy Award for Best Actor. Upon accepting his Oscar, Wayne said, "Wow! If I'd known that, I'd have put that patch on 35 years earlier." The title song sung by Glen Campbell, who co-starred in the movie, received nominations for both the Academy Award for Best Song and the Golden Globe.

Even if Jimmy Webb didn't write the song for Glen and someone else made it famous - Glen almost always did a better cover while up against acts like The Highwaymen, Linda Ronstadt, and yes - Richard Harris.

Glen Campbell's classic Christmas Album...

Two session musicians getting together. I like the respect Lukather had for Glen. And at the end when Glen tells Luke how good he is - you can tell it meant so much. Gold.

There is a shorter version of this performance that doesn't include the mindless thoughts of people like Melissa Etheridge and Toby Keith, but this is a higher quality video than the alternative. And, it has Merle. Also, Jimmy Webb wasn't writing about Vietnam. He was writing about the Spanish-American War.
