Serena Williams says on social media that she gave birth to a baby girl named Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. She says the baby was born on Sept. 1 and weighed 6 pounds, 14 ounces. One posting also says about the newborn, "Grand Slam Titles: 1." The 35-year-old Williams won her 23rd Grand Slam singles title at the Australian Open in January — while she was pregnant.

A ten year old rape victim has given birth to a baby in eastern Idaho while the suspect, Guadalupe Gutierrez-Juarez, 37, of St. Anthony, has been arrested. The girl purportedly gave birth to a baby less than 2 weeks ago at a hospital in Fremont County. It wasn’t until the hospital reported the girl and the birth to authorities that Gutierrez-Juarez, an illegal immigrant, was arrested and charged with one count of rape. CHICAGO (Dec. 8) - When you're born on an airplane in mid-flight, where do you say you were born? A seven-pound, eight-ounce girl was born Wednesday night on a Mexicana Airlines flight from Guadalajara, Mexico, to Chicago's O'Hare International Airport. An airport spokeswoman says the baby was born nearly an hour before the plane landed. Luckily for mom and baby, there was an obstetrician on board. The 42-year-old mother was traveling with her husband and two other children to visit relatives in Milwaukee. A hospital spokeswoman says mother and daughter are doing fine.

EULESS -- An elementary teacher gave students in her early childhood development class an unexpected lesson when she gave birth in her classroom. Rhonda Schafer was able to get her students, ages 3 and 4, out of the Bear Creek Elementary School classroom on Monday and then called for the school nurse. The nurse arrived just in time to help Schafer as she gave birth behind her desk about 2:30 p.m., about five minutes after the first sign of labor.
