WASHINGTON - The top U.S. military officer in Iraq, Gen. Ricardo Sanchez, will be replaced, administration officials said Tuesday. The Pentagon (news - web sites) also suspended Brig. Gen. Janis Karpinski from her command. Both have become symbols of lax supervision at the Abu Ghraib prison where U.S. soldiers allegedly abused Iraqi inmates.
