The fact that the hordes of new arrivals know all the loopholes and legal angles to scam our immigration laws and maximize benefits on our welfare system, while the working American does not, is really quite astounding, and tells me that there have to be a number of lawyers involved, telling these people what they can do to cheat American citizens out of a country. Check out this story, reported by the New York Post yesterday: Two New York City men staged armed robberies at convenience stores and fast food joints across the United States to scheme immigration benefits, federal...

While hundreds of thousands of poor migrants seeking asylum in the U.S. have trekked on foot from South and Central America in the last eight months, there has also been a rise in middle class migrants flooding the southern border. These so-called middle class migrants often fly to Mexico's northern border on pre-planned flights and cross into the U.S. by cab or another car hire, a Border Patrol chief in Arizona told the Wall Street Journal. 'They got off the plane and went to a cab or to a bus,' Chris Clem, Border Patrol's chief patrol agent in Yuma, said....

For about a year, Dauhn Minus has been struggling to pay her utilities bill, which, at times, she said runs well over $300. "That's a lot of money for an electric bill," said the 52-year-old West Palm Beach resident. The main reason their bill is so high is because the air conditioning unit is 15 years old and working overtime to cool their two-bedroom home. But it can't do the job properly since Minus' home wasn't energy efficient. "I would have my AC on at 70 degrees, but it was reading 85 degrees in my house," Minus said. "I was...

RALEIGH — Democrats in the U.S. House have been conducting hearings on proposals to confiscate workers’ personal retirement accounts — including 401(k)s and IRAs — and convert them to accounts managed by the Social Security Administration. Triggered by the financial crisis the past two months, the hearings reportedly were meant to stem losses incurred by many workers and retirees whose 401(k) and IRA balances have been shrinking rapidly. The testimony of Teresa Ghilarducci, professor of economic policy analysis at the New School for Social Research in New York, in hearings Oct. 7 drew the most attention and criticism. Testifying for...

This is a rather long, but most interesting read:Wednesday, October 13, 2004 Was Kerry's original discharge less than honorable? In a front-page article in today's New York Sun entitled "Mystery Surrounds Kerry's Navy Discharge," reporter Thomas Lipscomb asserts that in all probability, Sen. John F. Kerry originally received a less-than-honorable discharge from the United States Naval Reserve — a discharge that was only upgraded to honorable after President Carter's 1977 executive order proclaiming a presidential amnesty for Vietnam War resisters. My purpose in this post is to provide links to and more extended quotes from the documents that Mr. Lipscomb's...

The actual time window for Kerry to receive 5 medals was 22 days, not the 4 month timeframe that everyone uses. Once you realize that the 1st Purple Heart was not submitted and approved until after the 2nd Purple Heart wound, that drastically narrows the awards window to 22 days. My theory, once I realized that the timeline was 22 days instead of 4 months (Feb 20th - March 13th... 5 medals), is that he received the only real wound that he ever received on Feb. 20th (shrapnel in his thigh that he still carries to this day), and that...
