"Young People And the News" read the headline. The news item stated that young people were getting their news from late night comedians such as Jay Leno, Dave Letterman, Jon Stewart et al. http://www.soc.american.edu/main.cfm?pageid=874. Could this be true? Could today's youth actually be stupid enough to allow comedians to affect their opinions? Upon monitoring The Late Show, one immediately realizes just how bias and bad Leno's jokes are. Leno's not even in the same class or the same galaxy as Johnny Carson. For example Leno told what he claimed was his favorite joke, about a guy that swallowed several hundred...

OK folks. Now that the Oxford 4-star monkey has entered the race. It is time to expose him for the brown nosing, bumbling idiot that he truly is. I urge you to dig up all items that you have read, heard and cited in the past. I have lefty friends that are hailing him as the savior to the party. It digusts me because of what I know of his campaign in Bosnia and his mishandling of the entire affair. IMHO he rubs me as a 'Slick Willie II' and I want nothing of him. Bring it on Freepers!

A veritable mountain of evidence leaves little room for doubt that the SARS (severe acute respiratory syndrome) pandemic originated in China. Nevertheless, an article appearing in the May 6 edition of the Hong Kong newspaper Wenweipo speculates that SARS actually originated in the United States. The appearance of this "theory" bears all the earmarks of an attempt by China's Chinese Communist Party (CCP) regime to deflect blame for its handling of the epidemic, and to thereby shore up its crumbling credibility, by creating the impression that the SARS virus is the product of United States biological weapon research. Whatever short-term...

Thomas Hubbard said in a forum of the Alumni Association of the Advanced Management Program at Seoul National University. He also added that the two countries will review how many U.S. troops are required in South Korea in line with a new international security order that demands more reliance on troop mobility. Congressman Tom Allen on US-Iran Relations * According to a report on the CBN television network, more than the people of any other country in the Middle East, Iranians favor normal relations with the US. It said the conservative clerics are concerned that the US may be planning to attack Iran after Iraq. Congressman Tom Allen (D-Maine) tells Radio Farda that he does not believe that Iran would be next to be attacked by the US. He says members of the administration who believe we have to go after Iraq does not have a similar feeling about Iran. They are...

Hans Blix, chief UN weapons inspector in Iraq and Mohamed ElBaradei, head of the internationial nuclear agency, have not turned up any Iraqi scientists or civilians to interview outside the country’s borders. After two days of negotiations with Iraq officials in Baghdad, they came out with a 10-point accord that guarantees very little help for their search. DEBKA-Net-Weekly , however, did locate a highly knowledgeable defector from Saddam Hussein’s immediate circle – one, moreover, willing to talk. His name – or more precisely one of his many aliases – is Jassem Abdullah. He managed to escape from Baghdad four months...

In New York state, for every 1,000 black babies born, there are 967 black babies aborted. That’s more than three times the rate for white babies. It’s 50 percent above the Latino abortion rate. It means abortion effectively cuts New York’s black birth rate in half. A white baby has a 1-in-4 chance of being aborted, while a black baby is looking at even money. Think about that. Forget, for a moment, why it’s happening. Think, instead, about its impact. What is the demographic and sociological consequence of cutting the black birth rate in half? Well, do the math. In...

Turkey has doubled its military strength in northern Iraq to 12,000 soldiers, a senior intelligence source said Tuesday, a sign Ankara wants to protect its interests if there is a war. Meanwhile, a Turkish general urged parliament late Monday to quickly decide whether to allow the United States to use Turkish bases for an attack on Iraq, saying a delay is fraying relations with the country's closest ally. "We have come to a critical point. From now on, we have to take a political decision. We have to do military planning," the newspaper Hurriyet quoted Maj. Gen. Bekir Kalyoncu as...

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -- For three quarters, the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl was a perfectly good, if not memorable, college football championship game. A 935-mile pipeline to the northern port of Murmansk will enable Russia to sell to the USA 10% of its oil imports by the year 2007, increasing Russia’s dimension as a swing producer of oil and putting it into the super league of producers, along with the OPEC countries. While it is true that there are some months in which Russia already produces more oil than Saudi Arabia, the pipeline and the subsequent increase in sales it will guarantee will bolster production on a sustained and sustainable basis. As Russia seeks to maximise revenue from its vast mineral resources, at...

The London march was a demonstration of the ignorant British liberal lying down with the unknown Muslim lion. It was a display of ignorance and hatred, intemperance and intolerance – one which should turn the stomachs of all those who believe that the rule of British law prevails over that of the North London mullah. Call it what you like – but don’t call it a demonstration for peace. 23 October 2002 An unholy alliance Douglas Murray The London demonstration organised by the Stop the War Coalition and the Muslim Association of Britain...
