The Klamath Basin will welcome home the Klamath to Florida Bucket Brigade Convoy members on Sunday, October 27, 2002 from 4:00 - 5:00 PM at the Klamath County Government Building. (In case of inclement weather, the event will be moved inside to the Commissioner's Hearing Room.) The convoy departed Klamath Falls on September 28, 2002 for Naples and Homestead, Florida to support the efforts of families in that area that are also being affected by the Endangered Species Act. This dedicated group of people, when they return, will have logged over 10,000 miles spreading the word concerning the need to amend the Endangered Species Act to include justifiable science and economic impact studies to the decision making process.
Along the way, the convoy passed through California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida for a total of 11 states. Stops were arranged in all but three state capitals to present a bucket and shovel to a state government representative. Educational rallies were held in Tracy and Sacramento, California; Fallon and Elko, Nevada; Salt Lake City and Springdale, Utah; Denver and Trinidad, Colorado; Pecos (Santa Fe) and Alamogordo, New Mexico; Lubbock, Saginaw, and Austin, Texas; Montgomery, Alabama; Tallahassee, Naples, and Homestead, Florida.
As what happened with the Convoy's that came to Klamath last year, an auction was held at most locations to pay for the trip and earn money to assist local farm families in need.
The convoy consisted of the following local people: Bill Ransom - Chairman of the Board of the Klamath Bucket Brigade, Bill Morris, Diana Wunderle, Pat Ratliff, Frank and Peggy Wallace, Kehn Gibson, and Barbara Hall. Grant Gerber from Elko, Nevada and adopted Klamath Basin son, Rocky Dipple, from Mesquite, Nevada also joined the convoy before it left the Klamath Basin.
They were joined in Denver, Colorado by Jan Jacobson of Florida; Bill and Lynette Ames of Texas in Texas; Dan Nielson and Grant Knoll of Klamath Falls in Alabama and Dale Rapp of Darby, Ohio in Florida.
In Florida, they were also joined by locals Joe Baer, Baron Knoll, Bob King, Bill Brown, and Klamath County Commissioner John Elliott.
Families, friends, elected officials, supporters of this effort to amend the Endangered Species Act, community members and news media are encouraged to attend this welcome home rally. These dedicated individuals took close to a month out of their lives for this cause and we hope to have a good turn out to show our appreciation and to thank others that were instrumental in the success of this convoy.

I'm working on it now. It's going to take a while but I'll get it up as soon as I can.
I thought things would calm down after the SGR, but I'm as busy as ever.
I wanted to talk to you about that money. You are a blessed angel from heaven. Call me up or I'll call you when I get a chance.
