Big Guy can’t do anything about the deficit because he can’t get the do-nothing Congress to work with him. He can’t do anything about the terrible economy (which he isn’t responsible for anyway…that honor goes to George W and his do-too-much Congress) because the do-nothing Congress won’t let him spend any more money. This has some of our Dems rattled. They’re starting to ask “What is Big Guy responsible for?” And “what is the Big White really competent at?” So we’ve been tasked with coming up with a list. Food Network sweetheart, Rachael Ray, has been married in a ceremony sure to have lasted longer then 30 minutes. The host of three Food Network shows - "30 Minute Meals," "$40 a Day" and "Tasty Travels!" - Ray tied the knot last Saturday with longtime sweetheart, John Cusimano, in a ceremony held in Montalcino, Italy. Ray's lastest business venture partners her with Oprah Winfrey's production company, which has agreed to produce a pilot for a new syndicated cooking show. Ray is also the author of 10 books and is launching a new magazine, "Every Day with Rachael Ray," next month.

Yesterday I watched Food TV. Emeril had the winners of his Italian cuisine contest on. Wow! There were some yummy dishes on there. One I need to make next week is a dish called Chicken Meatball Soup. Wine lovers will love it because you can use wine liberally in this dish. There is a newsletter I would like to recommend. I have subscribed to it for years. It's called Real Food for Real People. When the host of a national food show comes to town, it's time to show some Texas hospitality. The host and crew of Food Network's "Food Nation" are in town filming. They were greeted with Harley-style hospitality, and sausage on the side.
