BAGHDAD, Iraq - Thunderous explosions rocked central Baghdad on Tuesday, but the cause was unknown. Several large blasts and some gunfire were heard about 4:15 p.m. Police sealed off Saadoun Street, which includes the square where the statue of Saddam Hussein was hauled down April 9, 2003. A U.S. helicopter landed in the square and evacuated at least one wounded person as American soldiers and military vehicles provided security.

Miami-AP -- An industrial complex west of downtown Miami has been evacuated after a fire and a series of explosions at a warehouse. There have been no immediate reports of injuries and no word on what caused the fire. Television coverage showed several small explosions from tanker trucks parked in the area. A Miami-Dade police spokesman says the industrial complex contains some type of flammable or explosive materials. The warehouse is just north of the golf course for the Doral Golf Resort and Spa.
