Conservative Episcopalian bishops and church leaders are organizing a network of socially conservative parishes in order to stem the tide of liberalism within the Episcopal Church USA. My dear friend, Dr. E.V. Hill, went to be with the Lord from his hospital bed in Los Angeles at 4:30 this morning, following a recent stroke. Dr. Hill, hailed by Time magazine as "one of the most outstanding preachers in the United States," was indeed one of the most dazzling and effective preachers of his generation. The Rev. E.V. Hill, longtime pastor of the Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles, died yesterday after a bout with pneumonia and other undisclosed medical problems. Hill, 69, was hospitalized nearly two weeks ago and was listed in critical condition and in intensive care.
