Jihadists, Yes, Pro-Israel Jews, No. If you're a member of a Islamic terror group, you can and will get security clearance. If you're working at Fort Hood, you can run slideshows supporting terrorists and handing out Soldier of Allah business cards, and there's no problem. But if you're an elderly Jewish dentist volunteering at a Naval clinic, it's another story, as Bret Stephens reports. When Gershon Pincus turned 60, he decided he wanted to give something back to his country. The Brooklyn-born father of four had maintained a successful private dental practice in New York City for 35 years. As...

A group of prominent Orthodox rabbis in Israel, the United States and Europe have issued a historic public statement affirming that Christianity is "the willed divine outcome and gift to the nations" and urging Jews and Christians to "work together as partners to address the moral challenges of our era." "Jesus brought a double goodness to the world," the statement reads. "On the one hand he strengthened the Torah of Moses majestically" and on the other hand "he removed idols from the nations," instilling them "firmly with moral traits."

Beirut (Reuters)-A number of rockets hit a building in the Damascus district of Jaramana on Sunday, reportedly killing Lebanese militant leader Samir Qantar, according to government loyalists. Syria's state media blamed "terrorist groups" for the attack, but government loyalists said the explosions were an Israeli strike believed to have killed Qantar, who is reviled in Israel for a 1979 attack that killed four people. Israel released Qantar in 2008 as part of a prisoner swap with the Lebanese Shi'te Hezbollah group and he is believed to have rejoined the group since.... Israel has struck Syria several times since the start...

In the immediate aftermath of the San Bernardino terrorist attack, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) sought to support and assist the families of the terrorist Syed Farook – before the FBI had even uttered the word "terrorism". As my colleague Joel Pollak writes at Breitbart California, the organisation, which claims it is tasked with improving relations between America and its Muslim communities took the pre-emptive step of representing Mr. Farook's family, in what Pollak describes as a terrorist family's "death benefit". CAIR's assistance and public representation of Syed Farook's family, in my opinion, closely resembles the Palestinian Authority's (PA)...

Hamas and Islamic State in Sinai have been cooperating in the smuggling of weapons, demonstrating that while Hamas is a nationalist Islamist movement, it also has common roots from which to build a functioning relationship with jihadists. "Over the past two years, IS Sinai helped Hamas move weapons from Iran and Libya through the peninsula, taking a generous cut from each shipment," according to a Washington Institute for Near East Policy report on Tuesday by Ehud Yaari, a Lafer International Fellow at the think tank. [...] Both Hamas and Islamic State trace their origins back to the Egypt Muslim Brotherhood,...

A jihadi boasted on his Telegram Messenger account about confiscating an assault riffle that he alleged was given to the Free Syrian Army by Israel and taken by the Islamic State in battle: “A customised AK47 made in Israel. Given to FSA as a gift. Taken by Dawlah (the State) as Ghaneemah (spoils.) Jihad is so fun alhamdulillaah. Go around killing kafirs (non-Muslim) taking their stuff. It's a dream job, lol.†Abu Sa-eed Al-Britani, 27, a British Jihadi named Omar Hussain from High Wycombe in the U.K., also known as the “Supermarket Jihadi,†because he used to work in the...

If senators got report cards the way children do in school, Ted Cruz’s would say “does not play well with others†every time. He’s been called the Senate’s “most reviled member,†and that’s just among his fellow Republicans. But the junior senator from Texas seems to like it that way. His failures inside the Beltway are successes outside, where he points to them to show he is the only one standing up to what he likes to call the “Washington cartel.†The more Washington hates him the more those who hate Washington love him. That’s his operating assumption, and it’s...

"We will not start World War III by taking out (Iran's) nuclear capability. We will stop WWIII. WWIII is underway in the world today. Everybody needs to understand that. WWIII has started and unless we short circuit it, it's going to explode into a real global conflict," Republican Presidential candidate Rick Santorum warns on Breitbart News Daily.

Thousands of Shiite militiamen and supporters rallied on Saturday and demanded that Turkish troops immediately withdraw from Iraqi territory, a show of strength by the country's powerful militia groups and the Shiite political rivals of Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi. Militiamen in fatigues, supporters and onlookers gathered in Baghdad's Tahrir Square, chanting, "No to occupation, no to Turkey." Some young men burned Turkish flags. Former Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, who is the current Prime Minister's fiercest rival, walked through the square and was mobbed by supporters who snapped photos and video on their phones.

Thursday, December 10, 2015 Can the Left Learn to Love ISIS? Posted by Daniel Greenfield @ the Sultan Knish blog The extremist group carved out territory for its utopian state through ruthless brutality and a steady flow of international recruits who arrived believing that the new terror state represented the fulfillment of their belief system. The world was horrified as the radicals who had seized towns and cities showed off severed heads and mutilated bodies, killed hostages and openly threatened the world. The Americans, British and French intervened hoping to end the reign of terror and restore stability to the...

A fine thread running through many of our columns is that the legitimacy of Islam’s religious claims to Jerusalem is in inverse proportion to the volume and frequency with which they are made. Now comes along a renowned Muslim Egyptian scholar, of all people, to corroborate our point. Prof. Youssef Ziedan, a specialist in Arabic and Islamic studies and a prolific author, has given a series of interviews to Egyptian television stations in recent days, in all of which he emphasizes one issue: There is actually no connection between Jerusalem and ancient Islam. When Islam was founded during the 7th...

In a rare turn of events, Israel received almost unanimous support at the United Nations last week for its proposal to further the dissemination of agricultural and farming technology to developing African nations. Despite of the humanitarian nature of the proposal, it was met with vehement opposition from representatives of Arab nations, including some that will be helped by the proposal. Regardless of the aid the proposal would provide to African countries who are suffering from drought and malnutrition, Arab nations, some of whom sit on the United Nations human rights council, did not vote in favor of the proposal...

A new report says that the number of foreign fighters traveling to Syria and Iraq to fight for the Islamic State and other militant groups has more than doubled over the last 18 months. The Soufan Group, an international consultancy firm based in New York, used UN data, figures from official government estimates, and academic resources to come up with their findings. In June 2014, 12,000 foreign fighters in the region were identified, and now, there are 27,000 to 31,000 from 86 different countries. Tunisia has the largest number of recruits, about 6,000, followed by Saudi Arabia with 2,500; Russia...

The number of foreign fighters joining ISIS and other extremist groups in Iraq and Syria has more than doubled since last year to at least 27,000, a report by an intelligence consultancy has revealed. The figures, compiled by The Soufan Group, indicate that efforts by countries around the world to stem the flow of foreign fighters to the region and blunt the appeal of violent organisations appear to have made little impact.

The "contained" ISIS "jayvee team" has been doing some serious recruiting over the past year. According to a new report, the number of foreign fighters flocking to Iraq and Syria to help fulfill the ISIS caliphate has doubled. Although President Obama claimed last week that ISIS has been "contained," the inconvenient truth is this: The number of foreign fighters in Iraq and Syria has more than doubled since last year to at least 27,000, a report by an intelligence consultancy said on Dec. 8, highlighting the global dimension of the conflict. The figures, compiled by the Soufan Group, indicate that efforts by countries around the world to stem the flow of foreign fighters to Iraq and Syria and blunt the appeal of violent organizations such as the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) appear to have...
