Billionaire In-N-Out owner Lynsi Snyder stirred up a storm of online controversy over the weekend when she revealed that she planned to move her family out of California to Tennessee. The news comes as In-N-Out begins to expand heavily into the South, launching a new joint headquarters in Franklin, Tennessee, near Nashville — where Snyder will also now be based.
Snyder revealed the coming move on a recent podcast appearance, saying, “There’s a lot of great things about California, but raising a family is not easy here. Doing business is not easy here.” The clip, from a new episode of Allie Beth Stuckey’s conservative podcast “Relatable,” quickly made the rounds on social media. Many Californians were not happy about the way she presented the decision, with some even calling for a boycott of the California-born burger chain.
“They’re happy to take our money and hate everything else about us,” read one post in the Los Angeles subreddit with over 7,500 upvotes. In the thread, people chimed in about the hypocrisy of a billionaire fast food company heiress complaining about hardship. “Must have been soooo hard to live as a billionaire in California, thoughts and prayers for her through this difficult time,” read one popular, sarcastic comment in another Reddit thread.

She needs to take her BILLIONS and get as far away from California as humanly possible. They don’t deserve her.
They are too entrenched in Cali, they won’t be packing up anytime soon unless they have to
Exactly. IN N OUT is so good, so quality, it can go nationwide and instant home run. Maybe time to take it public. Eff California.......
Allie Beth Stuckey spoke at our church last year. She is the real deal. Well, as far as podcasters go. Culture warrior.
The people who eat at the restaurant won’t give a shit about her or her politics. The business will continue to thrive in California even with her Moving headquarters to Tn.
Agree. IN N OUT is like crack to Californians. They need it more than it needs them.
I have met a lot of former residents of California that have moved out and landed in Texas.
Cost of living and cultural rot are the main reasons.
These are good people who just want to run their businesses and raise their kids.
Close all the California locations, then. Let’s see if the so-called customers change their tune . . .
Go up to Dalhart and see all of the dairies that have moved there through the years due to regulation.
Tennessee does not have an income tax so there are a couple of hundred million other reasons for her to move.
If I was her, I would shut down all California operations.
Move out totally.
So now the lines at their California locations will only be a block long instead of two blocks long. In-N’-Out won’t suffer much.
We LOVE our Texas In-n-Out Burgers!!
I’m a former Californian who moved to Texas. Born and raised in Southern Cal and lived for 50 years. Saw it go downhill and turn mean.
I just returned from Southern Cal on business. I have never seen such unhappy miserable looking unfriendly people. They all look constipated and I was in Newport Beach. I have to go out there about 3 times a year. The entire west coast, compared to the south, is miserable looking unfriendly people.
We love Tennessee and the South the most. People in Utah and Arizona are really nice and civil and courteous too. From car rental agencies, to stores, restuarants. The nastiest......Southern California. They look Constipated.
Fixed it. California freepers are NOT Commiefornians.
Good point. I saw some of the comments were from Reddit which is a liberal toilet bowl.
I have family in Long Beach and up in Corte Madera.
They are normal folks, but the surroundings are disturbing.
They don’t see it. Probably because they have not seen anything different.
Mean and inhuman is the best way to describe it.
The lines are only 2 blocks that you’ve seen?! LoL I see them go much longer.
