We just completed a massive Deal with Japan, perhaps the largest Deal ever made. Japan will invest, at my direction, $550 Billion Dollars into the United States, which will receive 90% of the Profits.
This Deal will create Hundreds of Thousands of Jobs — There has never been anything like it. Perhaps most importantly, Japan will open their Country to Trade including Cars and Trucks, Rice and certain other Agricultural Products, and other things.
Japan will pay Reciprocal Tariffs to the United States of 15%. This is a very exciting time for the United States of America, and especially for the fact that we will continue to always have a great relationship with the Country of Japan.
Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Will be in Japan in a few weeks.....hope they don’t hate us.
This is HUGE news..and this by far the biggest!
Just bow as deeply as possible and admit your inferiority as a gaijin. Should be fine.
I lived there two years. The Japanese one on one are the neatest people there are. In a mass of people, they are not so much. Overall, I loved my two years in Japan. There is so much to see! I rode from Tokyo to Kyushu. That was about 800 miles. Most memorable trip ever. Also, see Three Sisters Inn and Kyoto Palace in Kyoto!
Yeah this is big! Futures markets are trending upwards as we speak.

Hummm... I would like to see how that works.
I’m sure GM Terrains and Enclaves will be big sellers in Japan. As for the investment, so what? Japan has always been a big investor in the US. As has every country that runs a trade surplus. The books always balance. Excess dollars from exports are only good for one thing. Buying something in USD.
Yeah, look at those Nikkei futures, up 2% right now.
Gung Ho!
do you speak Japanese or are people able to get by with English only? I’ve always wanted to visit but speak no Japanese.
I like the civility. They have the attitude of generally getting along because “they are all on the same boat”.
Helps when homogenity is easily enforced. The problem is you will always be regarded as an outsider no matter how long you live there. That and the other thing is because of manners and relating to others, people not used to it will have really shallow superficial relationships as they dont open up to people about personal stuff much and if you are huggy touchy you will miss that.
Excellent. The deal maker extraordinaire.
When there was an article about Japanese trade last week, I looked it up: we have 550,000 acres of rice under cultivation here in CA. After a certain tariff free increment, their tariff is 700%. This is a boon for CA farmers (most of whom aren’t the liberal cretins who live in the cities)
We ran into a nice couple from the Calgary area a couple days ago on Lake Koocanusa in Montana. I was wondering the same thing. But no discussion about trade, tariffs, or politics came up.

But watch out for the aggressive deer.
Trump might have helped to finish off Ford. Toyota up 8% today. This deal is heavily favored for the Japanese. They will eat the rest of the US auto lunch, especially when the US will have to pay higher for copper.
CNN and the rest are reeling from all Trump has achieved in 6 months.
They and democrats are dead in the water.
Their 18% approval rating is probably the lowest in history.
LOL!
Exactly. They are trying so hard to be relevant and bring up “we got him now!” headlines over the months since his inauguration, but they fail at every level.
We can’t let these liberals even gain an inch for the midterms. Let’s keep striking them down. Colbert’s removal on CBS and the recent 60 Minutes interview payment are a great start.
