Beirut (Reuters)-A number of rockets hit a building in the Damascus district of Jaramana on Sunday, reportedly killing Lebanese militant leader Samir Qantar, according to government loyalists.
Syria's state media blamed "terrorist groups" for the attack, but government loyalists said the explosions were an Israeli strike believed to have killed Qantar, who is reviled in Israel for a 1979 attack that killed four people.
Israel released Qantar in 2008 as part of a prisoner swap with the Lebanese Shi'te Hezbollah group and he is believed to have rejoined the group since....
Israel has struck Syria several times since the start of the war (Civil War in Syria), mostly destroying weaponry such as missiles that Israeli officials said were destined for Hezbollah, Israel's long-time foe in neighboring Lebanon.....
Syrian government loyalists blamed Israel for the attack on Sunday.
"Two Israeli warplanes carried out the raid which targeted the building in Jaramana and struck the designated place with four long range missiles," the NDF in Jaramana Facebook page said.....

Israel has been judicious in its military actions in Syria during the civil war, but it has always struck at Assad's military and forces supporting it like those commanded by the now dead terrorist leader.

Sounds like Hezbollah were hit, Assad’s co-terrorists at that.
Israel, USA intelligence must actually be seeing everything over there, Russian intelligence too.
