Orthodox Rabbis Issue Groundbreaking Declaration Affirming ‘Partnership’ With Christianity
Breitbart ^ | 17 Dec 2015 | Thomas D. Williams, Ph.D.

A group of prominent Orthodox rabbis in Israel, the United States and Europe have issued a historic public statement affirming that Christianity is "the willed divine outcome and gift to the nations" and urging Jews and Christians to "work together as partners to address the moral challenges of our era."

"Jesus brought a double goodness to the world," the statement reads. "On the one hand he strengthened the Torah of Moses majestically" and on the other hand "he removed idols from the nations," instilling them "firmly with moral traits."

"This proclamation's breakthrough is that influential Orthodox rabbis across all centers of Jewish life have finally acknowledged that Christianity and Judaism are no longer engaged in a theological duel to the death and that Christianity and Judaism have much in common spiritually and practically. Given our toxic history, this is unprecedented in Orthodoxy." said Rabbi Dr. Eugene Korn, Academic Director of CJCUC.

Matthew 23:37 "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! 38 See! Your house is left to you desolate; 39 for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, 'Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!'"

Given both faiths are facing enemies on all sides; i.w., godless fascism/socialism/communism on one side and mohamedism on the other, we’d better combine forces to survive. It’s going to be a long struggle.

It is wonderful, and now they need to acknowledge Yeshua as Messiah and Lord. That’s my prayer for them and for all! (Orthodox Jews make some of the best believers.) Maranatha!

America is, always has been and always will be a Judeo-Christian nation.

God bless Israel, God bless America.

Jesus fulfilled the Torah. Perfectly.

I hope these people of good faith embrace Him.

We can work together to stop the murder of the unborn, protect Israel, defeat ISLAMIC TERRORISM, and crush the idea of cradle to grave government dependence for the individual—as well as the corporate welfare that pervades society and favors the rich.

Excellent post. This is wonderful news. May the bickering and ill will of past milliniums come to an end. We have more evil enemies then each other now. Would it be incorrect to wear a Star of David with my Christian cross? I have long wanted to do so.

I vaguely remember something about not yoking oneself with the unbelievers.

I appointed watchmen over you and said, ‘Listen to the sound of the trumpet!’ But you said, ‘We will not listen.’

""Now that the Catholic Church has acknowledged the eternal Covenant between G-d and Israel, we Jews can acknowledge the ongoing constructive validity of Christianity as our partner in world redemption, without any fear that this will be exploited for missionary purposes," it says."

Partner in world redemption eh? No thanks.

We don’t know what might be taking place in the hearts of these Rabbis. Jews all over the planet have been realizing that Jesus fulfilled all the ancient Hebrew prophecies regarding Messiah, and trusting Him as their Savior. If these Rabbis are new believers, or near believers, it’s very shrewd of them to couch their appeal for a truce and cooperation as they did, and not drop the whole conversion bomb on their people all at once.

Go ahead. The star of David is not originally the symbol of Judaism. That would be the menorah with seven branches. The star of David over time became the symbol of Judaism later, I think sometime in the middle ages. The star has also been used to symbolize heaven and earth as in “as above, so below” and has esoteric symbolism.

Ephesians 2:11-22 New International Version (NIV)
Jew and Gentile Reconciled Through Christ

11 Therefore, remember that formerly you who are Gentiles by birth and called “uncircumcised” by those who call themselves “the circumcision” (which is done in the body by human hands)- 12 remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world. 13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

14 For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, 15 by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, 16 and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility. 17 He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. 18 For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.

19 Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. 21 In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. 22 And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.

You are mistaken if you think that. Jews are responding to the changes in Christianity’s views on Judaism. This is a case of genuine friendship and respect but not of any acceptance of Christian doctrine. The messiah as understood in Judaism is very different from that understood in Christianity.

Yes, Jews and Gentiles are united by Christ. Non-believing Rabbis and Christians are not united. Any attempt to force Christians to refrain from evangelizing Jews is sinful. Any attempt to depict Christians and believers in Judaism as representing two complementary and equal religious systems is sinful.

This could easily pave the way for the sealing of the 144,000 and the acceptance of the two witnesses.
