Misguided egomaniacs: In spite of the massive, collective effort all of them made to bring down our Commander-in-Chief, they now have to deal with the cold hard fact that President Donald J. Trump is indeed the smartest guy in the room! Well, whaddaya know? In the midterm elections of November 6, 2018, the American people rewarded the president—for only the third time in almost a hundred years—with a net gain of three and possibly four Senate seats, lost half the House seats that his predecessor lost, and left the radical leftwing Democrats not rejoicing at their meager gains, but still...

This is getting creepy. Michael Avenatti isn’t just your garden-variety guy on an ego trip. He’s starting to sound like some sort of cult leader with delusions of grandeur. Asked by Ari Melber on MSNBC this evening about his possible presidential ambitions, Avenatti answered: “If you’re going to go climb a mountain that you’ve never climbed before, or a mountain that’s really important for you to summit, do you want a guy, a guide, who says to you, you know, I don’t know if we’re going to be able to get up the face of that mountain? “Or do you...

As high school seniors get set to walk commencement, toilets are exploding, lockers are getting graffitied and doors are getting super-glued. The vandalism is part of the tradition known as senior pranks. But a decision by Kenowa Hills seniors to do something a lot less harmful has drawn the ire of their principal. The plan was to hold a bike parade as a nice, non-destructive, healthy senior prank. Seniors called police for an escort, and even called Walker's mayor, who rode in the parade. "Police escort, with the mayor, who brought us donuts. ...The mayor brought us donuts..." said a...

Politico is reporting the Dems are expecting an Obama landslide. Some of the talk radio shows (Brian and the Judge for example) are speaking in terms of what McCain should have done, etc. Right slanting pundits are hinting at waving the white flag. Am I missing something? What I see is a stock market lunge today along with some new economic optimism. I see tightening national polling which almost always preceeds the same movement in the individual swing states. The internals of these polls (which are always weighted heavily Democratic) show that McCain is actually doing better than Obama with...

There's no helping you. This site is now just a diversion -- like a train wreck. This site is inherently for and about raving egomaniacs, and Jim's site policies -- which amount to excluding reality and actual dialogue in favor of political/militaristic pornography -- is conducive to cognitive dissonance, which at the times your worldview is threatened leads you into psychotic breaks (on the political cognitive plane, that is, and just maybe in other realms too). Not to mention that your baseline politics is based in mythology about American demographics, science, economics, ethics etc. You spoonfeed each other in the...

Because she has led countless billions and billions of people to the promised land of books, because she preaches self-help and self-sufficiency and not least because she has shown that even a middle-aged person can keep weight off, I must tiptoe up to the amazing Oprah and merely whisper to her that in the case of James Frey, the liar whose memoir turns out to have a good deal of fiction alongside fact, she is not only wrong but deluded. What she needs is a session with Dr. Phil. Frey's memoir, "A Million Little Pieces," is about his recovery from...

George Clooney is convinced he ruined John Kerry's chances in the race for US president in 2004 - by snubbing an invitation and hurting his feelings. The Ocean's Twelve actor was one of several screen stars invited to ride on Kerry's election train, but it all went downhill for the Democrat when Clooney stayed away. He recalls: "Kerry asked me to ride on his train - he had a train going cross-country after he was nominated and some actors went on board. I called him and explained that I couldn't do it. I'd hurt him. I'd actually caused him harm...

I think we need to Kerrey and Hamilton a taste of FREEPER activism! Something like this: Dear Senator Kerrey and Hamilton: I think it shows total disrespect for the Office of the President to request his presence in front of the commission and then walk out on him and the vice-president. What it seems like is that the commission was set up with a politcal agenda to discredit the current administration and when you found out that the Presidents testimony was not going to serve your political ends, you walked out! Political manevoures like this is why the Republicans control...
