The cold-blooded murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson has produced some ugly reactions. Liberal politicians and commentators seized upon Thompson’s murder as an excuse to complain about insurance companies. But their outrage should be directed at the federal government, says Seamus Bruner on the most recent episode of The Drill Down. As an example of the ugly reaction, progressive Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) declared, “The visceral response from people across this country who feel cheated, ripped off, and threatened by the vile practices of their insurance companies should be a warning to everyone in the health care system.”
