Henry County is known by many as the Gun Valley of Illinois. However, that could change if a bill making its way through the Illinois House of Representatives becomes law. HB2414, sponsored by Rep. Edward Acevedo, D-Chicago, would make it illegal to manufacture, possess or deliver semi-automatic assault weapons, assault-weapon attachments, .50-caliber rifles and .50-caliber cartridges.
