Them Duke boys were at it again on Saturday… At the Somernites Cruise festival in Somerset, KY, one brave stunt driver by the name of Raymond Kohn hopped in a General Lee replica and jumped 150 feet over/through the town’s Fountain Square. It’s a video you have to see to believe — and people on social media were posting it from every possible angle. With thousands upon thousands in attendance for the 25th annual Somernites Cruise, known as the official car cruise capital of Kentucky, the “Dukes of Hazzard”-inspired 1969 Dodge Charger flew off the ramp, barrelled through the fountain’s...

has opened a probe into comments made by John Schneider, a former star of the television show ‘Dukes of Hazzard,’ after he suggested on platform X that Joe Biden is “guilty of treason” and “should be publicly hung.” Schneider also targeted Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, in his statement. On Wednesday, White House resident Joe Biden wrote on X attacking former President Trump. “Trump poses many threats to our country: The right to choose, civil rights, voting rights, and America’s standing in the world. But the greatest threat he poses is to our democracy. If we lose that, we lose everything,”...

A driver did a “Dukes of Hazzard” style jump over a freeway bridge Thursday evening. The 25-year-old Kalamazoo man was driving south on U.S. 131 when he left the freeway at 142nd Avenue in Dorr Township in Allegan County, around 2:05 p.m. on Jan. 14, Michigan State Police said. The man’s black Chevrolet Impala left the road, drove up the embankment, went airborne and hit a road sign before landing on the other side of the bridge, police said. The man was taken to the hospital for a medical evaluation and a blood draw after troopers saw signs that he...

"I have never had an African American come up to me and have any problem with it whatsoever," said Schneider, 60, who added that "the whole politically correct generation has gotten way out of hand." Schneider went on to call the series, which was set in fictional Hazzard County, Georgia, "a unifying force."

Volo Auto Museum director, Brian Grams says the General Lee display is not going anywhere. The display features the last surviving 1969 Dodge Charger from the first season of the "Dukes of Hazzard" television show, The Daily Herald reports. Grams says the vehicle is a symbol of television history. This comes as Confederate flags and statues are being taken down across the country. "We feel the car is part of history, and people love it," Grams said. "We've got people of all races and nationalities that remember the TV show and aren't offended by it whatsoever. It's a piece of...

The Dukes of Hazzard has been flagged for internal review at Amazon. The hit 1980s sitcom could end up getting the boot for problematic imagery. The series aired on CBS for 7 seasons and was a success for most of that time, thanks to the adventures of Bo and Luke Duke, along with their cousin Daisy Duke. Concerns over the show's use of the Confederate flag on the iconic vehicle, nicknamed the General Lee, have come up more than once over the past few years, but it looks like now may be the time the boys get cancelled. Amazon is...

The Dukes of Hazzard theme song is nearly as iconic as the classic TV show itself. Having a country music legend kick things off before watching Luke and Bo Duke (Tom Wopat and John Schneider) race around in their custom Dodge Charger, potentially joined by their cousin Daisy (Catherine Bach) in her signature "Daisy Duke" shorts, really helped set the tone for the show as a whole. Waylon Jennings was the narrator of the 1975 film Moonrunners which starred James Mitchum and Kiel Martin as two cousins running bootleg liquor for their Uncle Jesse. Warner Bros hit up writer and...

film to include Confederate flag controversy John Schneider might just be the world's biggest "Dukes of Hazzard" fan. The actor starred as Bo Duke in the series -- which ran for seven seasons from 1979 to 1985 -- as well the 2000 made-for-TV movie, "The Dukes of Hazzard: Hazzard in Hollywood." He has since created what he calls a "tribute" to the legacy he admires -- an independent film developed by Schneider's studio titled, "Christmas Cars." In order for the 59-year-old actor to develop a memento that “Dukes of Hazzard” fans could be excited for, the "Smallville" alum, along with his new wife...

A star of the 1980s hit TV show “The Dukes of Hazzard” was barred from performing in a local production of “42nd Street” yesterday after he was charged with sexually assaulting a fellow actor in the musical — and authorities say she is not the only woman in the cast who has complained. Tom Wopat, 65, of New York and Nashville, pleaded not guilty to indecent assault and battery and drug possession yesterday, a day after he was arrested on a warrant moments after leaving the theater at Waltham High School.

The Liberal politically correctness has gone far beyond being annoying and disgusting. They have made it puke inducing.Past time to take our country back! Twelve years ago, members of the Blue Collar Comedy troupe gave America some insight into what the new wave of “political correctness” could do to the entertainment industry. They were ahead of their time with this skit, since “political correctness” is an unfortunate reality these days. Without knowing the video’s age, it would seem to be in direct response to the Confederate flag being removed from the famous General Lee car from “Dukes of Hazard,” though...

Golfer Bubba Watson says he'll paint over Confederate flagThough the Volo Auto Museum already owns one General Lee car from the television series "The Dukes of Hazzard," museum director Brian Grams is making a bid to preserve the historical significance of the very first version seen in the show's opening titles. That car is owned by professional golfer Bubba Watson, who recently announced his plans to paint over the car's Confederate flag with an American flag because of the recent controversy over what some have said is the Confederate flag's racist overtones. As he said about the General Lee he...

Sensitive. The amazing thing about this is that it was made six years ago - when it was funny enough to imagine liberals trying to PC up the Dukes but still not to the point where you could actually imagine a major cable network pulling it because it isn’t. Hats off to Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy for actually having the prescience to see this coming: Trying to remember: Was the gay rainbow flag sufficiently recognized back in 2009 for that to be the likely meaning of the rainbow atop the General Lee? Or is it just combined...

Sen. Ted Cruz said Saturday that it is "asinine" that TV Land pulled "The Dukes of Hazzard" after widespread calls for the Confederate flag to come down. "I think the cancellation of 'The Dukes of Hazzard' is utterly asinine and an example of corporate America’s embrace of political correctness to a degree that is ridiculous," Cruz said in an interview with The Washington Post. "I’m curious if the Torquemadas seeking to ban 'The Dukes of Hazzard' from our TV sets are equally exercised by all of the leftist college students with posters of Che Guevara in their college dorm rooms,"...

The Confederate battle flag has been a hot topic in the news over the last few weeks. Some government organizations have taken the flag down, and Walmart made the landmark decision to remove all Confederate battle flag items from stores. However, one side effect of removing the flag from culture has led to the removal of popular Dukes of Hazzard products from stores. Now, TV Land even says it will no longer air any episodes of the classic series.

A week after Warner Bros. announced it would halt the production of all merchandise featuring the Confederate flag on General Lee, the iconic car from The Dukes of Hazzard, the show has inexplicably disappeared from TV Land’s lineup. WB announced the move as major retailers Walmart, Amazon, eBay, and Sears all introduced bans on the sale of Confederate flag merchandise in the wake of Dylann Roof’s Charleston, SC shooting rampage at a black church. “Warner Bros. Consumer Products has one licensee producing die-cast replicas and vehicle model kits featuring the General Lee with the confederate flag on its roof —...

Cooter from the hit TV show "The Dukes of Hazzard", weighed in on the Confederate flag discussion, saying he will not change a thing with his business and will continue to sell Confederate flags. The story has been trending nation-wide in light of last week's tragedy in Charleston where nine people were shot and killed inside a church. Since the accused killer, Dylan Roof, was allegedly seen on a web page holding a Confederate flag, the debate over the true meaning of the flag has been thrown into question. Ben Jones, who played 'Cooter' on The Dukes of Hazzard and...
