TAMPA — Brett Gardner’s youngest son, Miller, died on Friday at the age of 14, the family announced through the Yankees on Sunday. In a statement from the former Yankees outfielder and his wife Jessica, the Gardners said Miller fell ill “along with several other family members while on vacation.” “We have so many questions and so few answers at this point, but we do know that he passed away peacefully in his sleep on the morning of Friday, March 21st,” the Gardners said in the statement.

CORAL GABLES, FLA. – Former Tiger baseball player Reed Rohlman, a two-time All-American, passed away in Florida on Wednesday. The Clemson outfielder, who lettered from 2015-17 and played under Head Coaches Jack Leggett and Monte Lee, was 29. Rohlman, a native of Moore, S.C. who graduated from James F. Byrnes High School, was a career .329 hitter with a .410 on-base percentage in 187 games in his Tiger career. He also had 59 doubles, 11 homers, 135 RBIs and 127 runs. He was a two-time All-ACC selection as well.

A 15-month-old girl from Greenwood Lake, New York, died two days after receiving routine vaccinations during a wellness checkup, leaving her family searching for answers. Melody Rain Palombi-Malmgren went into cardiac arrest and died on Oct. 19, after receiving three vaccines—for varicella, DTaP, and Hib—at her 15-month wellness visit on Oct. 17 with the Herbert Kania Pediatric Group in Warwick, New York, according to News12 the Bronx. “She was a perfectly healthy child,” her mother, Katherine Palombi, told News12. “I’m in complete shock.” Palombi told News12 that Melody had waved goodbye to her that morning as she dropped her off...
