OTTAWA - U.S. Senator Ted Cruz, who says he recently discovered he is likely a Canadian, must win security clearance from Canada's spy agency, fill out a four-page form and then wait up to eight months to sever his ties to America's northern neighbor. Cruz, a Texas Republican who has fueled speculation that he may run for president in 2016, was born in Canada, which automatically makes him a citizen. On Monday he offered to renounce that citizenship. ... People giving up Canadian citizenship must prove they are or will become a citizen of another country, do not live in...

I'm starting this thread to counter act the surrender threads currently out there. I wasn't at today's McCain rally in Minnesota. I only see what the MSM packages for me to see, which I suspect was intended to demoralize. I choose not to be demoralized. And I ask that those of you who are going wobbly to stop it. I will still gladly vote for McCain/Palin.

Israeli security Cabinet led by Prime Minister Ehud Olmert decided the military campaign in south Lebanon would not be expanded, and any modifications to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) operation, such as deploying more troops, would require Cabinet approval. Israel is essentially broadcasting to the world that its political and military circles are severely divided over the current operation, and it might have no choice but to cave in to diplomatic pressure to put an end to the fighting and draw up a cease-fire. This might not be true to Israeli thinking, but it is certainly a message they are...
  • The Pentagon Is Losing Iraq (Vanity)

If Drudge is right that the Pentagon is planning to dump more abuse photos from Abu Ghraib, there is no use --we should just surrender. If I had a loved one in harm's way, I'd tell them to desert. We can't win a war this way. Our media and governmanetal elites simply won't let us win this war. Bush is too weak and the Republicans in Congress are intimidated by the big Beltway Media. The grunt and the Average patriotic American doesn't have anybody fighting for them. There is no mass movement to defend the honor of the American military...
