(Vanity) Now is not the time to go wobbly
MEP

Posted on 10/10/2008 7:04:45 PM PDT by MrsEmmaPeel

I'm starting this thread to counter act the surrender threads currently out there. I wasn't at today's McCain rally in Minnesota. I only see what the MSM packages for me to see, which I suspect was intended to demoralize.

I choose not to be demoralized. And I ask that those of you who are going wobbly to stop it. I will still gladly vote for McCain/Palin.

I’m not demoralized either. I’m mad as heck though, at the media.

This wasn’t the media trying to demoralize us, this was John McCain himself.
He said it, he surrendered. You can’t blame the media for this one.

Of course, voting against Hussein is not the issue here.

It is McCain’s (and Republicans in general) throwing us under the bus for good press.

If McCain bails on Sarah, he’s McGovern-region toast. 350 electoral votes down, easily.

You heard it as a surrender. I didn't hear him say he was withdrawing from the Presidential Race.

Look, McCain may not be the world's most ideal candidate, but for heaven's sake, do you really want the alternative?

On the contrary,McCain keeps throwing out warning signs of his socialist tendencies and yet people are willing to blindly follow him down the path of increased socialism. You can’t counteract a socialist from one party by supporting one from another party.

Instead of surrender, how about humor?

McCain is certainly not helping himself by sticking up for Obama at the GOP rallies.

I agree. This is a war and I’m mad also. Looks like I’m not alone.

See, McCain could have just said that we need to remain respectful.
I think that was a necessary statement in light of the media meme that McCain was allowing his crowds to get riled up out of hand.

But in classic McCain fashion, he took it too far. Way too far.
He said we shouldn’t be afraid of an 0bama presidency.
F*** YOU McCain! I’m scared as hell of an 0bama presidency, and that’s the only reason why I’m voting for you!
We’re on the verge of a socialist revolution in this country, and McCain is telling us we have nothing to fear from them.

I voted one week ago here in Georgia.

I know McCain-Palin have at least one vote for sure.

Why on earth would he bail on Sarah? Don’t invent rain clouds when they haven’t appeared.

I’m not demoralized, and I’m not wobbly. I’m just pissed.

I’ll still vote for McCain, in spite of him. The media, and everything about this election year has been reprehensible.

Read post #11.
I don’t want the alternative.
The only reason I’m even supporting McCain at this point is because I’m scared as hell of the alternative.
And here is McCain telling me I don’t have anything to be afraid of from 0bama... that I don’t have a valid reason to vote for John McCain!

Can we PLEASE get a new candidate now?
