A woman dubbed 'America's worst mayor' has had the privilege of using her administration's credit cards revoked after an alleged spending frenzy. Tiffany Henyard was banned on Monday from using Dolton village credit cards after the Illinois village board of trustees brought in measures against her. The trustees have said that they will only allow the Director of Administrative Services to use the village's credit card on 'board-approved purchases' only.

When things go bad for Democrat presidents, the corporate media generally circle the wagons in two ways. We are either told no president could solve these problems, so don’t blame the Democrat, or we’re told things are double-plus good, and we’re just too stupid to see it. Well, the truth — and we all know it — is that things are strikingly awful with His Fraudulency Joe Biden at the helm, so the media’s gaslighting campaigns are in full bloom.

Come friendly bombs and fall on Hollywood, it isn’t fit for doing good. Another year, another dreadful Oscars, another round of moral lectures from the beautiful people. It’s all so tiresome. The only reason most people pay attention to these irritating award ceremonies is precisely so that they can be irritated. So there was a vegan theme at this year’s Academy Awards. So the show had no host. So Brad Pitt is angry about impeachment. So someone said ‘workers of the world unite’. So Joaquin Phoenix is mad (in all senses) about what mankind is doing to the animal kingdom....

During the late Tuesday/early Wednesday edition of CBS’s The Late Show, actress Drew Barrymore professed her love for the work of liberal comedian and host Stephen Colbert, praising his work now and previously on Comedy Central’s The Colbert Report as having taught her so much and made “the world a more smarter, educated place.” Barrymore had just come out on stage at the 12:03 a.m. Eastern mark when Colbert told her how pleased he was pleased to see her since “I have not seen you since I interviewed you in character on the old show, and back then, I couldn't...

Los Angeles still leads the nation in television pilot production, but a study released today by FilmL.A. reveals that the home of Hollywood took a double-digit hit this year to fall to its lowest total since 2009. However, with pilots down this most recent cycle in all the major production centers except tax-incentive lucrative Louisiana, a jump in straight-to-series orders by cable outlets and the streaming services might be part of the problem.

DELTA, Pa. (AP) — A couple who got lost in Pennsylvania while driving to New York entered the property of a nuclear plant by cutting a chain at a gate, apparently in a quest to get back on the right road, authorities said. The Chesapeake, Virginia, couple were driving from Baltimore on Friday night when they got onto an access road at the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, owned by Exelon. The driver told police he didn’t see two “No trespassing” signs when he cut the chain on the gate, The York Daily Record (http://bit.ly/27XVuF5) reported. Exelon spokeswoman Krista Merkel...

The U.S. Army has deleted a tweet that used the term “chinks” in armor after people freaked out that the same word can be used in a completely different context as a racial slur against people of Chinese descent. “Chinks in special ops’ digital and physical armor poses challenges, experts say,” the tweet read, followed by a link to a news release about how terrorists’ using social media has left a hole — dare I say, a chink in — our country’s defenses.

While you’re fighting for territory on the arm rest and suffering the kicks, nudges and otherwise annoying seat disturbances that come with flying commercial airlines, just think… it could be worse. How much worse? Like perching on a bicycle seat worse. Airbus submitted a patent in Europe for the seats, with have small backrests but no tray tables or headrest, reports the Los Angeles Times. And legroom? Keep dreaming. The pared down design is an attempt to cut down on bulk, which in turn allows for more sardined passengers and ostensibly, more money. “In effect, to increase the number of...

After Russia invaded Ukraine, demonstrating how Vladimir Putin has zero fear of President Obama, Fox News anchor Bret Baier reran a snippet from the third presidential debate in 2012, showing who felt Russia was a geopolitical threat, and who thought that sounded silly. Obama mocked Mitt Romney for being concerned about Russia. "When you were asked, 'What's the biggest geopolitical threat facing America?' you said Russia. Not al-Qaida. You said Russia, and the 1980s are now calling to ask for their foreign policy back because, you know, the Cold War has been over for 20 years." A clever quip from...

One reason commercial liberal talk radio’s never quite succeeded is that NPR is a network with liberal hosts, liberal guests, and liberal callers. This perfect storm of unanimity displayed itself on Thursday’s Diane Rehm Show, when they discussed the push for more gun control. There were no guests from the NRA, just moderate Richard Feldman, who wrote a book about his “confessions of a gun lobbyist.” On the other hand, Rehm brought on Mark Kelly, the astronaut husband of disabled ex-Rep. Gabrielle Giffords to talk up his new gun-control group, as well as an anti-gun New York Times reporter and...

Democratic National Committee gets new logo, slogan By: James Hohmann September 15, 2010 03:27 PM EDT Eager to bridge a daunting enthusiasm gap, Democratic National Committee Chairman Tim Kaine recited a list of President Barack Obama’s accomplishments Wednesday to an auditorium packed with George Washington University College Democrats. It came as he unveiled a new web site, a new logo and a new slogan for his party: “Change That Matters.” As he went down a longer list, Kaine spoke passionately of how Democrats delivered an economic stimulus (he would only call it “the Recovery Act”) and “the Affordable Care Act”...

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Fossils of a previously undiscovered species of dinosaur have been found in slabs of Utah sandstone that were so hard that explosives had to be used to free some of the remains, scientists said Tuesday. The bones found at Dinosaur National Monument belonged to a type of sauropod—long-necked plant-eaters that were said to be the largest animal ever to roam land. The discovery included two complete skulls from other types of sauropods—an extremely rare find, scientists said.

TEL AVIV, Israel — With a cease-fire appearing to unravel even before it begins, Israel is facing a protracted war under a divided government. At the insistence of the government's political opposition and other parties, plans are already under way to launch a formal inquiry in the Knesset into what went wrong in what many here are calling the worst defeat in Israel's history. The inquiry also will explore a further indignity: how the Jewish state has come for the first time to agree to negotiate the relinquishment of land, the Shebaa Farms, in direct response to a deliberate act...

Concerns over port security may be sky high, but the chief of security for the East Coast's main port operator, Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Co., hardly knew it when he sat before a Senate Commerce panel on Tuesday. More than a dozen senators grilled U.S. government officials, and the chief operator officer of Dubai Ports World, which is on the verge of acquiring P&O and all its world-wide port operations. But no senator had a single question for Robert Scavone, the man who oversees P&O's security for North America -- and will do the same for DP World. Scavone...
