FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - A Fargo man has been sentenced to prison for a 2025 assault in which he punched a stranger at random in downtown Fargo. Royal Rockefeller was found guilty of aggravated assault and sentenced Thursday to five years in the custody of the North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. He must serve a minimum of three years before becoming eligible for release.
