FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - A Fargo man has been sentenced to prison for a 2025 assault in which he punched a stranger at random in downtown Fargo.
Royal Rockefeller was found guilty of aggravated assault and sentenced Thursday to five years in the custody of the North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. He must serve a minimum of three years before becoming eligible for release.

Wow, they don’t mess around with sentencing white people. A black would have been let free because, “culture”...

I’m glad he’s being punished. I just wish all the hoodrat thugs were held equally accountable for their myriad crimes of violence.
We finally hear what sounds like a real sentence for decades of what the media labelled the knockout game or polar bear hunting and then learn that of course the sentence wasn’t about that at all.
Of course everybody will joke about the guy being white, but the difference in the usual situation is that when it’s a white person who does this stuff it’s because they’re psychos, and other white people want them punished. On the other side, it’s just normal behavior and black people don’t want them punished.
Whenever I think of Fargo I think of “and I assume that’s your accomplice in the wood chipper”
He’s just making up for the lack of black on white crime in Fargo based on lack of black people
From the photo, I believe the perpetrator to be American Indian not white.
Completely missing the mark - the first 30 days are for the assault, the remainder of the time is clearly punishment for cultural appropriation.
More likely from the look of him, I think Cher put it best:

You’re right — he’s not white. In earlier mugshots he looks like a typical American Indian. He served nearly twenty years for a 1995 murder. “Then, Rockefeller was known as Matthew Runningshield (he legally changed his name while incarcerated in 2005). Court documents from an appeal of the sentence describe the violent crime, which took place when Rockefeller was just 16 years-old.”
She scans the news every morning to find the statistically rare white violent criminal and posts that story to level the visual playing field against the massive levels of black violent crime that will otherwise jam your news feed.

Royal Rockefeller. I’d never expect such behavior from a man with this name. He has shamed the Rockefellers to no end.
Maybe he’ll get a dose of his own medicine in the big house.
