Bart James, a Republican political director, was warned how unfriendly Democrat-rich Broward County is to the GOP. But he never believed it until this week, when thousands of dollars worth of Gov. Jeb Bush's campaign signs were vandalized. Then James was threatened by an anonymous caller. "There is a lot of stuff I've seen down here that I've never seen in politics before," said James, who has worked on Republican campaigns in Arkansas and other Florida communities. "It's new to me, but then again, this is Broward County."
