Fox News will serve as the 'loyal opposition' to Joe Biden, CEO Lachlan Murdoch has announced - adding that the move was designed to boost their ratings. In what was seen as the most frank assessment of the network to date, Murdoch, the eldest son of Rupert Murdoch, said that the network would hold the new president to account. Speaking on Thursday at a Morgan Stanley conference, the 49-year-old said that Fox News was aiming to echo MSNBC's success in acting as the main White House critic. 'The main beneficiary of the Trump administration from a ratings point of view...

In recent months, the hatred of Fox News from the left has been almost matched by trending memes – from the right! Examples include (to paraphrase) “Fox News has turned left.” “Fox News is being run by Disney.” “The woke wives of the Murdoch sons are running Fox.” “RINO Paul Ryan is running Fox News from his seat on the company’s board of directors.” And so on. All of that is false. Total BS. How do I know? Unlike most of the new anti-Fox critics, I actually watch the Fox News Channel (FNC). I take notes. I have monitored the...

Politics editor Chris Stirewalt, along with nearly two dozen digital journalists, have been fired from Fox News. Stirewalt is listed by the New York Times as one of two “senior leaders” exiting the network as Fox “tries to lure back viewers who balked at its coverage of the 2020 election and its aftermath.” The other is Bill Sammon, Fox News’s longtime Washington bureau chief, who told staff that he would be retiring at the end of the month. Stirewalt, however, was “fired” according to the Times, along with “roughly 20 Fox News digital journalists” who were laid off on Tuesday....

In what surely will be a topic of debate in the days ahead, Fox News opinion host Tucker Carlson in his opening monologue last night came out swinging, declaring that: “Our capital city is currently under military occupation. By Inauguration Day, there are expected to be more than 26,000 armed federal troops in Washington. No living American has seen a moment like the one we’re watching now.” He pressed on nearly twenty minutes overall. Here is a little more of what he said (video above),

Fox News host Tucker Carlson argued the arrival of thousands of National Guard troops in Washington, D.C., ahead of President-elect Joe Biden's inauguration is a "message about power." His 22-minute monologue on Monday made the case that the deployment, captured in harrowing images of the nation's capital in lockdown ahead of a transfer of presidential power, is needlessly large. "So, no matter what they are telling you, those 26,000 federal troops are not there for your safety," Carlson said. "Instead, unmistakably, the Democratic Party is using those troops to send the rest of us a message about power. We're in...

"The Trump campaign had ample opportunity to challenge election results, and those efforts failed from lack of evidence. The legal process was exhausted, and the results were decisively confirmed. The Department of Justice, too, found no basis for overturning the result."

Brit Hume @brithume With apologies to Shakespeare, it will be said of Trump that nothing in his presidency became him less than the leaving of it. Quote Tweet Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump · 2h The U.S. Supreme Court has been totally incompetent and weak on the massive Election Fraud that took place in the 2020 Presidential Election. We have absolute PROOF, but they don’t want to see it - No “standing”, they say. If we have corrupt elections, we have no country! 9:31 AM · Dec 26, 2020·Twitter for iPad

President Donald Trump continued tearing into Fox News Channel first thing Wednesday morning proclaiming that the right-leaning network was 'dead.' 'Can't believe how badly @FoxNews is doing in the ratings. They played right into the hands of the Radical Left Democrats & now are floating in limboland,' Trump tweeted. 'Hiring fired Donna Brazile, and far worse, allowing endless negative and unedited commercials. Fox News is dead. Really Sad!' A majority of voters said in a Fox News poll released this week that they believe President Trump is weakening American democracy as he and his legal team press forward with lawsuits challenging the election results. In the new poll, which surveyed 1,007 registered voters nationwide between Dec. 6 and Dec. 9, 56 percent of respondents said they think Trump is weakening American democracy by contesting the results in multiple states. Thirty-six percent of respondents said the opposite - that they believe the president is strengthening American democracy by challenging the election results. Eight percent answered they didn't know when...

Fox News host Chris Wallace confronted House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) on his and other congressional Republicans’ support for a Texas lawsuit that would have thrown out the results of the presidential election in four key battleground states. “You were talking about disenfranchising the 10 million Biden voters who supported [President-elect Joe Biden] in those four states,” Wallace said on “Fox News Sunday,” referring to the Texas lawsuit that was rejected late Friday. “Do you feel comfortable throwing out millions of votes of your fellow Americans?” Wallace asked Scalise.

The garbage pile that is Fox News just lost for the first time to Newsmax TV. It was only one metric, during one day, during a single hour. What matters, though, is that had you predicted such a victory was possible even six weeks ago, you would have felt the hot breath of laughter in your stupid face. Well, who’s laughing now? LOL! The answer to that question has to be especially humiliating for the garbage pile that is Fox News, because who’s laughing now is Newsmax TV, me, and CNNLOL’s Brian “Tater” Stelter, who is laughing all over the...

"We feel super confident about Fox News being able to compete in any environment going forward," Steve Tomsic said at an investor conference. Fox Corp. chief financial officer Steve Tomsic has a warning to outgoing President Donald Trump or anyone else looking to launch a new conservative cable news network to cut into Fox News' audience share. Loyal viewers and longtime dominance are tall hurdles to taking on the Goliath of the conservative news world. "We don't have a hubris bone in our body, so we don't take lightly the potential for competition, whether it's the existing sort of classic...

Fox News faced hostility from supporters of President Trump while on the scene of a rally where he is set to speak Saturday in support of Georgia Republicans competing in next month’s Senate races. People waiting to attend the rally in the southern Georgia city of Valdosta were caught on camera heckling a Fox News crew reporting ahead of the president speaking at the event several hours later. In another clip shared by a reporter for Al Jazeera, a man in a baseball cap bearing Mr. Trump‘s campaign slogan, “Make America Great Again,” could be seen berating Fox correspondent Griff...
