A Berlin Holocaust memorial honoring non-Jews who protested against the persecution of their Jewish family members was vandalized with anti-Israel graffiti on Wednesday, according to the Berlin Police and European Jewish Congress. "Jews are committing genocide," was scrawled across the Rosenstrasse protest memorial according to EJC. The vandalism last weekend of a sculpture of Republican Party icon Ronald Reagan that’s long greeted passersby of artist Miriam Baker’s home on Balboa Island’s South Bayfront has generated outcry from her neighbors and friends. Two of Britain´s most celebrated war memorials have been defaced, apparently with the word ´Islam´ scrawled across them and inscriptions scrubbed out with red paint. Police have confirmed they are investigating the vandalism of the RAF Bomber Command Memorial in Green Park and the Animals In War Memorial in Park Lane, both in central London. Pictures taken today show that the damage has now been covered over with plastic or white sheets. Scotland Yard said there have not been any arrests, so it not clear if it has been done by Muslim protesters or far-right groups attempting to stir-up hatred.

After this weekend's brew-ha-ha in PHX, LA and elsewhere I got to thinking; I've never seen the Union Jack, the Canadian Mapleleaf, or any other national colors ever defaced and discrespected, just the US Colors. The Salvation Army reported reported damage Friday to the American flag outside its building at 409 1st Avenue NE, Austin. Someone took the flag down and wrote "Starvation Army:Keep warm-burn the rich" and drew signs for peace and anarchy on it.The person then replaced the flag upside-down according to the police report.The incident took place between 6 pm December 16 and 8am December 17.
