I would be careful what assumptions we make. This church does not sound Christian.
I cannot believe this. More than halfway down the article I find this is a gay Church and their rainbow flag has been stolen. Obama really will be getting right on this.

Is this their strategy, “Black Church Burnings”? I thought billy wore that one out. I guess Rahm is putting out these stories to minimize the electorial damage by inciting colored folks to come out and vote. This church had a “diversity pole” and was perceived to be pro-abortion.

Fountain Street Church is marginally christian, at best. The lower-case “c” is intentional.
Man is this a sign of the times or WHAT? I googled Churches defaced- and I thought this was a normal Christian Church.
I can’t imagine a real Christian church protesting / vandalizing this pseudo-church in this way. I’m thinking false flag operation. Or inside job.

It’s known here as the “liberal church”, and is frequently used as a venue for people like Michael Moore to speak, and once hosted our former mayor’s tirade about how W. was a war criminal.
It’s a place to go play pretend Christian.
