In an interview this morning with RS, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) said there was clearly "no urgency" for U.S. military airstrikes against the Houthis in Yemen, now in their 13th day. President Trump said Monday he will "lead the charge" to oust Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) for his refusal to support Republicans' government funding bill.

Massie says: - AIPAC spent $100k on advertising in his district on Fox News and local conservative talk radio in the last few weeks. - They're actively trying to recruit a primary challenger despite the fact that he tends to win his primaries and election easily. - They're using church pastors to lobby him or something. - Support for Israel is not a top 5 issue or motivating factor among the voters in his district. - He thinks they wont beat him and they're wasting money.

Rep. Thomas Massie: “I actually won't accept the premise that AIPAC has the right to interfere in an American election on behalf of a foreign country—And if they do, we have guidelines and guardrails for that, which they seem to be exempt from.”

@RepThomasMassie I agree with the title “Reaffirming the State of Israel’s Right to Exist” and much of the language, but I’m voting No on the resolution because it equates anti-Zionism with antisemitism. Antisemitism is deplorable, but expanding it to include criticism of Israel is not helpful.
