A woman has gone viral after noisily slurping down 48 oysters at a Georgia restaurant while out on a first date. The woman, who goes by the name EquanaB on TikTok, revealed in a video [warning: graphic language] that she met up with her date at Fontaine's Oyster House in Atlanta. She proceeded to order four dozen oysters and noisily knocked them back during the dinner - that's where it all started to go wrong. While waiting for her date to come out of the bathroom, the woman was angered to learn that he had left the restaurant - in...

VALENCIA, CA—When Nick Samuels took his wife out for their weekly date night on Monday, he was pleased to hear that she was flexible on restaurant destinations. “Wherever you want, honey—I had a late lunch so I’m not too picky tonight.” Excited by his wife Nicholette’s flexibility, Mr. Samuels started rattling off local favorites, including a popular Texas-style BBQ joint, a Korean BBQ joint, and a burger place called Meats, Meats & More Meats. Early reports indicate that his wife was lying when she said “whatever you want” as she cut him off at the knees while they were still...

Image source: Shutterstock I wanted to take my bride out for a night without the kids. As it turned out, I had a free night in one of the hotel chains I use when I travel on business, and it was set to expire on March 3, so I had to work fast. I also had a gift card for a local fine dining restaurant I received as a Christmas gift. Thus my el-cheapo, very expensive date night plans began to gel. We dropped the kiddos off at their grandparents (who had given us two “night of babysitting” certificates...

President Obama's senior appointees at the U.S. Office of Management and Budget took another step this week toward a potentially epic confrontation with Congress by ignoring a document subpoena issued by a subcommittee of the House Energy and Commerce Committee. The subpoena is for thousands of documents requested months ago by the committee's Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations concerning OMB's evaluation of a Department of Energy economic stimulus program loan guarantee worth $535 million for Solyndra, Inc., which makes solar energy panels.

Never before has a State of the Union address drawn such attention for such an absurd notion. The capitol is atwitter over who will sit with whom on their first official Congressperson-to-Congressperson dates. What should I wear, will I clash with what he/she is wearing? Who will drive? Is it okay for me to wear cologne/perfume? Should I place my arm in his/hers or should we just hold hands and sing “Kumbayah?” So many questions for such an expected giddy whirlwind of a night! And why all of this excitement? For the first time in four years the Republicans...

GOP aides tell NBC News that Rep. Eric Cantor's chief of staff has asked Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi's office if she would like to sit next to the Republican Majority Leader for tonight's State of the Union. When asked by NBC News about the offer, Cantor said, "I've not heard a response back from her office." It is unclear whether or not she will accept the invite. As Democratic leader, she does have an assigned table in the room.

AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, serving humanity simply by showing up, and he’s not retiring until every American agrees with him, do NOT doubt him, with shrieks of joy at the mere mention of his name...

This is one way to earn a "Not cool, Dad..." comment from your daughter: Talk about her new braces while giving a speech. But President Barack Obama did just that Thursday while delivering remarks in Kansas City at a fundraiser for Senate candidate Robin Carnahan. "You know, the — I don't have teenagers yet — Malia's just turned 12," said Obama, according to a pool report. "She's my baby. She's going — even though she's 5'9" now, she's still my baby. And she just got braces, which is good, because she looks like a kid and she was getting —...

Policy-wise, Barack Obama arguably came into his presidency unqualified. His foreign policy naiveté and spread-the-wealth-around fiscal policy mentality has thus far been a disaster. Unemployment continues to rise, North Korea and Iran continue to be pests, Hugo Chavez is emboldened, eco-radicals are taking over the legislative agenda, and Nancy Pelosi is dictating how health care will work in America. A number of friends in the military have told me that as Commander-in-Chief they must respect the office but they do not respect the person. So is Obama giving the office the respect it deserves by at least conducting himself like...

WASHINGTON -- President Barack Obama says only once since Jan. 20 has White House life annoyed him. It was the Saturday in May when, trying to be a good husband, he kept a campaign promise to take his wife, Michelle, to New York after the election for one of their "date nights" - dinner and a Broadway play. Conservative commentators and Republican officials criticized him for doing so. "People made it into a political issue," Obama told The New York Times Magazine for an article about the Obamas' marriage, appearing in the Nov. 1 issue. The article was posted on...

The First Marriage JODI KANTOR October 26, 2009 Another Washington dusk, another motorcade, another intimate evening played out in public view. On Oct. 3, just a day after their failed Olympics bid in Copenhagen, Barack and Michelle Obama slipped into a Georgetown restaurant for one of their now-familiar date nights: this time, to toast their 17th wedding anniversary. As with their previous outings, even the dark photographs taken by passers-by and posted on the Web looked glamorous: the president tieless, in a suit; the first lady in a backless sheath. The Obama date-night tradition stretches back to the days when...

A Broadway show and dinner for two in a swank Manhattan eatery - About $500. A series of private helicopter and plane trips and the security to make sure you don't get attacked on the trip - $75,000. The knowledge that you've just soaked the taxpayers while hypocritically talking about responsibility? Priceless.......

President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama landed in New York City late Saturday afternoon for a Manhattan date night that was to include a Broadway show. A spokesman read a statement from Obama: "I am taking my wife to New York City because I promised her during the campaign that I would take her to a Broadway show after it was all finished. The president traveled in a smaller, Gulfstream-type plane rather than the larger planes typically used as Air Force One. The Republican National Committee slammed the outing in an "RNC Research Piece": "As President Obama prepares to wing...

For all of the people sprawled out on those lawn chairs along shuttered Broadway in Times Square, take note: A certain famous family plans to be awfully close by on Saturday evening. President Obama and his wife, Michelle, plan to visit New York City on Saturday and take in a Broadway show, the August Wilson play “Joe Turner’s Come and Gone” at the Belasco Theater on West 44th Street, according to three theater executives who have been informed of the First Family’s plans. The theater executives spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the president’s...
