If I use a 64 GB micro-SD card in a dashcam only rated for a 32 GB card, I know the dashcam will only recognize ~32 GB (slightly less, actually) of this card. But, as sectors go bad, will the cam recognize only the ~32 GB minus the lost sectors, or, will it begin to use previously unused / recognized sectors, maintaining useable memory close to 32 GB?

Dashcam video taken from a Texas state trooper's car shows a shocking scene after police chase a human smuggler's vehicle in Del Rio, and about a dozen illegal immigrants pour out. The driver, a human smuggler, ditches the car on the side of the highway as the illegal immigrants try to flee through a fenced hedge. The trooper was able to catch the driver and several occupants, however some managed to escape. The video, which was shot last week in the border town, is one of many recent examples of law enforcement encountering cars packed to the brim with people...

A white Chicago officer was convicted of second-degree murder Friday in the 2014 shooting of a black teenager that was captured on shocking dashcam video that showed him crumpling to the ground in a hail of 16 bullets as he walked away from police. The shooting also led to a federal inquiry and calls to reform the Chicago Police Department. Jason Van Dyke, 40, was...

The vehicles are westbound on the 10 Freeway in Banning when the rocket’s plume begins to cut through the darkening sky. The driver in the vehicle with the camera and his children can be heard talking about the rocket in amazement while he slows for the wall of brake lights forming in front of them as other drivers take notice. Moments after they drive under the South San Gorgonio Avenue overpass, a thud is heard and then a white four-door vehicle in the next lane is shoved into the car in front of it by a van that rear-ended it....

Who says police can’t have a little fun. In 2013, two Slidell police officers decided to help out a business by collecting and bringing back runaway shopping carts. The average cost of a shopping cart ranges from $85-$250 a cart. The video produced and posted to the department’s official Facebook page Monday night is nothing short of amazing and it’s totally hilarious. So far it has been shared over 1,711 times.

When a white man got beaten up by a crowd of black thugs, and Drudge put it on his front page, YouTube immediately took down the video because it had been reported as "disgusting" content. I'd suggest everyone report all Laquan MacDonald videos on YouTube similarly. You'd be helping MacDonald's family out. Following a $5 million settlement with the city of Chicago, they urged the judge overseeing the video case to not release the video: "Like any mother, she doesn't want to see the execution of her son over and over again on YouTube and television. It's graphic, it's disturbing,...

The Austin County Sheriff’s Office released the dash camera video of a July 14 traffic stop of State Representative Garnet Coleman Tuesday to refute claims Coleman made last week about being disrespected and treated “like a child.” Coleman, as the chair of the Committee on County Affairs, held a hearing last Thursday in Austin as the first public inquiry into the arrest and death of Sandra Bland in Waller County. In that hearing, Coleman recounted his own history of being pulled over in traffic stops and gave this account of an I-10 traffic stop that happened just two weeks ago....

Dash cam video of a traffic stop provided the world with another piece of evidence Thursday in a fatal police shooting. It showed no indication of any physical or verbal threats before the driver bolts and the officer chases after him. The video, released Thursday by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, shows what begins as a seemingly routine stop for a broken tail light. The officer, Michael Slager, approaches the used Mercedes-Benz driven by Walter Lamer Scott, and asks for license and registration. There's a brief exchange, and the officer returns to his cruiser. Scott then takes off running.
