We need to pray for the families involved.
Good Lord!

Yes.
Fuel air explosion.
“Trump Bombs American Truck...Fails To Disable Roadway”
-CNN
It looks like initially there was a big white cloud of “gas” and then the thing caught fire. Surprised that the truck driver lived.
Judging by the pre-explosion plume, it must have rolled first.
If it rolled, it might have been one of those rare cases.
I can see Bubba’s interview going something like “Well I swerved to miss that car - and then it started to roll. I don't recollect exactly how - but I went out the window. It was hot - and the A/C was broke. But I went out - I never wear a seat belt - dang things bind on me. Anyways - next thing I feel this blast of hot air...” (Me? I think he just might have been carried on angel's wings! Wow - to have survived that.)
I was wondering about that wrt the MOAB, which doesn’t sound like it’s a fuel-air device.
I always keep my distance from tankers, they scare me to death.
Isn’t that late April or early May?
St. Charles Parish This morning, shortly after 8:00 am, Louisiana State Police Troop B investigated a fatal crash on I-310 south between LA 18 and LA 3127. The crash claimed the life of 44 year old Chalanta Brown of LaPlace, LA.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2008 Sterling dump truck, driven by Brown, was traveling in the right lane of I-310 south at a very slow rate of speed for unknown reasons. A 2013 Kenworth 18 wheeler, driven by 31 year old Glen Robichaux Jr. of Gheens, LA, was traveling in the right lane of I-310 and impacted the rear of the dump truck. The Kenworth was transporting approximately 8,000 gallons of gasoline and following the impact, it became fully engulfed in fire. The dump truck overturned on its passenger side. Robichaux was able to escape from the cab of the tractor and was taken to a local hospital with moderate injuries. Brown died on the scene. Impairment is not suspected and the crash remains under investigation.
I-310 south remains closed due to necessary road repairs. If you are planning on traveling through that area, please use an alternate route. Once the area is safe for travel it will be reopened. You can also utilize www.511LA.org or the LA DOTD Way to Geaux app for all roadway and traffic alerts and conditions.
Wow. How close to the river bridge did this occur?
Was he texting? Not paying attention for sure, whatever the cause.
The Lulling bridge is on I-310.
Before the first delivery, they’re safer. After the first delivery there’s more than 50 gallons of fuel in the piping hanging under the trailer. That fuel is what triggers quick explosions in an accident when the piping is ruptured.
wow
