This theme is very popular in Russian blogs now and Russia Today published a very good video:

It turns out that the BBC has for over a month had the information constituting “ClimateGate” — the latest one, anyway, and one that should serve as the global-warming industry’s “Blue Dress Moment,” when the media can no longer ignore the fraud we have been detailing for years to scribblers and producers largely uninterested in pulling the curtain back on this most politically desirable and useful of all story lines. For all that the establishment media have done in the past dozen years to enable the global-warming climate-change scam (coincidentally, it began at about the same time as the Lewinsky...

Climatic Research Unit update - 17.45 November 23 It is a matter of concern that data, including personal information about individuals, appears to have been illegally taken from the university and elements published selectively on a number of websites. The volume of material published and its piecemeal nature makes it impossible to confirm what proportion is genuine. We took immediate action to remove the server in question from operation and have involved the police in what we consider to be a criminal investigation.

Very busy with forecast duties right now, but I do intend to write a blog regarding the UK Climate research centre (CRU) being hacked into, and the possible implications of this very serious affair. I will add comment on this page as soon as I can free up some time. But I will in the meantime answer the question regarding the chain of e-mails which you have been commenting about on my blog, which can be seen here, and whether they are genuine or part of an elaborate hoax. I was forwarded the chain of e-mails on the 12th October,...

Truth is stranger than fiction. Hat tip to eagle-eyed reader JasonR who spotted it on our previous post.

Now that the weekend has passed and the cries of “the arse is really out of ‘er this time” have echoed throughout the stratosphere, the hacked e-mails turn out to not reveal much of anything (the only exception is possibly the alleged deleting of e-mails in regards to an FOI request) – or so I thought. I was feeling fairly smart when I came across the smoking gun! I must now say that I was wrong. There is strong evidence of alleged fraud in the e-mails from the CRU hack. I stand corrected. That is me on the right.

This is what they did — these climate “scientists” on whose unsupported word the world’s classe politique proposes to set up an unelected global government this December in Copenhagen, with vast and unprecedented powers to control all formerly free markets, to tax wealthy nations and all of their financial transactions, to regulate the economic and environmental affairs of all nations, and to confiscate and extinguish all patent and intellectual property rights. The tiny, close-knit clique of climate scientists who invented and now drive the “global warming” fraud — for fraud is what we now know it to be — tampered...

"This is not a smoking gun, this is a mushroom cloud" - That's how world-renowned climatologist Patrick J. Michaels described revelations contained in a 61Mb ZIP file that shows the systematic attempts by climate "scientists" to lie, manipulate evidence, and go to extraordinary lengths to stop the publication of any information or data which did not support the man-made global warming theory. As Andrew Bolt puts it, this scandal could well be “the greatest in modern science”. In this leaked files are 1079 emails and 72 documents that thoroughly expose the lie underpinning Al Gore's "Inconvenient Truth". Remember this, as...

"General reaction seems to be that the CRUgate emails are genuine, but with the caveat that there could be some less reliable stuff slipped in. In the circumstances, here are some summaries of the CRUgate files. I'll update these as and when I can. The refs are the email number. This query pulls videos in the last 24 hours on youtube about the CRU Hack, Instead of posting the videos one by one I am giving you the query. It looks like there will be a ton of new videos today for all of us to enjoy.

Climate Change: As scientists confirm the earth has not warmed at all in the past decade, others wonder how this could be and what it means for Copenhagen. Maybe Al Gore can Photoshop something before December. It will be a very cold winter of discontent for the warm-mongers. The climate show-and-tell in Copenhagen next month will be nothing more than a meaningless carbon-emitting jaunt, unable to decide just whom to blame or how to divvy up the profitable spoils of climate change hysteria. The collapse of the talks coupled with the decision by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to put...

Here is an interesting email in the CRU compendium about a solar connection to temperature. I wonder if they ever published this? Naaaa. The nice part is that there is data and mathematica code that can be run to verify the connection.

Climate change scientists have been manipulating and fixing data according to bloggers that are spreading information contained in hundreds of hacked emails. Bloggers say the 62 mb worth of emails were hacked from the Climate Research Unit (CRU), part of Britain’s University of East Anglia and released onto the Internet. The file containing the emails were packaged and posted on blogs by an anonymous hacker. A list of the emails is on a site called ‘an elegant chaos.’ “We feel that climate science is, in the current situation, too important to be kept under wraps,” said the hacker on the...

I received the following email and am posting it unedited: Marc Morano-ClimateDepot.com Claim: Data handling at CRU was 'completely out of control' -- 'They fudged so much that NOTHING that came out of CRU can have ANY believability' – November 22, 2009 – Soylent Green Website Excerpt: The hacked e-mails were damning, but the problems they had handling their own data at CRU are a dagger to the heart of the global warming “theory.” There is a large file of comments by a programmer at CRU called HARRY_READ_ME documenting that their data processing and modeling functions were completely out of...

TonyfromOz prefaces ….. This is an extended post on this story that is just starting to break. The MSM has kept away from it, but it now seems that it is becoming so huge, they just cannot ignore it. The MSM’s first foray into reporting on this was along the lines of ‘those rotten hackers’ committing such a dastardly deed, hacking into a reputable establishment, and into emails especially. It seems odd that when hackers have found juicy content on other things before this , the MSM has jumped all over it, but now, this disagrees with the line they...

COMPUTER hackers have broken into Britain's leading climate science research centre, making public thousands of private emails between top climate change scientists and, in the process, laying bare their bitter disagreements about the cause of climate change. The emails -- more than 2000 of them, plus 3000 documents -- began appearing online late on Friday, and are widely available. Some are malicious -- in one, the head of Britain's Climatic Research Unit, Phil Jones, says he is "cheered" by news of the sudden death of a prominent Australian climate sceptic, John L. Daly, who died of a heart attack at...

Sometime last week the Climatic Research Unit (CRU) at the University of East Anglia was hacked and materials stolen off its server. That information, including thousands of emails, has been posted on the internet (including at Wikileaks) and has caused a weekend of frantic blogging. There is more or less a rather juicy scandal brewing. There is more to this story than the “ho hum, nothing to see here, the making of sausages, and science, shouldn’t be seen by the public” attitude being displayed by warmenists. There is, however, less to the story than the “this proves the greatest scientific...

Raypierre’s letter makes a few valid points, but mixes in quite a bit of dubious speculation. He is correct that the release of these emails, files and codes was an illegal act. As such, the act itself is to be condemned. However, the act was committed, the data are publicly available and quite naturally, there is now, considerable interest in their contents. So, it is quite reasonable for reporters and bloggers to be reporting and buzzing. Naturally, you Andy reported on the incident. In this context, Raypierre writes to tell you that he is disconcerted you did not express indignation...

A recent hack into a prominent UK scientist's computer has revealed over a thousand emails that contain incriminating information against climate change and global warming proponents. The information in these emails has been described as a 'smoking gun' evidence of data collusion and manipulation among climatologists. This data was tweaked to be in support of the widely held view that man is causing climate change. The data has been retrieved from the University of East Anglia's Climate Research Unit, or Hadley CRU, by an anonymous poster by the name of 'FOIA'. The director of Britain's leading Climate Research Unit, Phil...

Meanwhile, in a parallel universe, the blogs are still making the running on the "hack" – which is now looking more like a leak - leaving the government with an inauspicious start to its poster campaign – which starts today – on climate change. Billboards across 900 locations in the UK will "offer a stark message for any climate change sceptics" and are timed to precede a United Nations climate conference in Copenhagen next month, the Department of Energy and Climate Change is saying. The sceptics aren't listening though ... the game has moved on. The warmists have been outed.
