A group of Clemson University students protested the removal of tampon dispensers from the men’s library bathrooms in response to a conservative student group’s complaints. Holding brightly colored signs reading “Destigmatize menstruation” and “Hello, it’s the 21st century,” around 50 students demonstrated on campus Wednesday to demand school administrators reinstall the feminine hygiene dispensers. The dispensers were removed after the Clemson College Republicans complained they were found inside the library’s men’s bathrooms. “If you weren’t aware already, Clemson University has tampon/pad dispensers in the MEN’S restrooms located in Cooper Library. Nikki Haley, the former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, has been named to Clemson University Board of Trustees. Haley, who served as South Carolina governor before becoming former President Trump’s envoy to the U.N., will replace retiring member David Wilkins. It’s one of seven lifetime appointments on the 13-member board. “Ambassador Haley’s love of country, leadership skills, commitment to education, and passion for Clemson University will serve the Board well. She will be a tireless advocate for the University and all of its constituents,” Kim Wilkerson, the board’s chair, said.

Criminal Justice majors at Clemson University are reportedly being required to take a “Heterosexual Questionnaire” as part of the major’s nine-credit Social Justice Requirement. Photos of the questionnaire, provided to Campus Reform by a Criminal Justice student who wishes to remain anonymous, reveal that it is filled with loaded questions apparently designed to make students feel guilty or uncertain about their preference for members of the opposite sex. Honors students at Clemson University are contemplating whether to follow in Yale’s footsteps by removing the name “Calhoun” from their school. A survey that was recently emailed to students in Clemson’s Calhoun Honors College poses a series of questions about former U.S. Vice President John C. Calhoun, the college’s namesake, starting with whether they had ever given any thought to the significance of the name.

Something called the Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) has sent a demand letter to Clemson University regarding its football program. It appears head coach Dabo Swinney has had the unmitigated audacity to hire a team chaplain and have Bible studies. Three privately funded buses took the team to a church. Even more outrageous, three players spoke of their faith in Jesus Christ at a Fellowship of Christian Athletes breakfast. The real horror is that their teammates heard about that faith in person. The president of Clemson University is chastising those who booed President Barack Obama during the college’s Military Appreciation Day at last weekend's game. During the university’s annual event that was held this year during the Clemson vs. Virginia Tech game on Saturday, a ceremony was held to induct ROTC cadets into the military. The ceremony was disrupted by booing from some fans in the stands. In an email with the subject line, “Dear Clemson Family: Focus on Positive Dialogue and a Civil Discourse,” Clemson University president James Barker addressed the behavior at the football game.
