A popular black separatist Instagram page called “Independent Black Businesses” became embroiled in controversy this week after black followers learned that the account – which has routinely solicited PayPal and Patreon donations – is actually not managed by a black person, but a middle-aged white female from Brighton and Hove, U.K. “Independent Black Businesses” was created this year and routinely posts photos of “black-owned businesses” accompanied by emojis and phraseology associated with black media activists, while soliciting PayPal and Patreon donations from followers.

Legendary Special Forces (Green Beret) hero, Christopher C. Miller, has been appointed Acting Secretary of The Department of Defense by the President, following the sacking of Mark Esper. I just watched the ceremony and announcement of this momentous move on the Hallowed Grounds of Ft. Bragg in my home state of North Carolina, where monuments to Special Forces heroes past, stand in remembrance. But the jaw-dropping moment for me, was just before Special Forces Legend, Chris Miller’s speech, when the young man introducing him came to the podium. Without getting too deep in the weeds as they say, this brilliant...

Joe Biden's anti-Second Amendment gun-control plan seeks to bankrupt the entire firearms industry by abolishing liability protections on firearms manufacturers and dealers, experts are warning. The Democrat presidential nominee’s "Plan To End Our Gun Violence Epidemic" seeks to repeal the Protection of Lawful Commerce In Arms Act, which grants firearms dealers and manufacturers legal protection against lawsuits that may result from the illegal use of weapons or ammunition.

As Thanksgiving week draws to an end, more experts are warning the Covid-19 pandemic will likely get much worse in the coming weeks before a possible vaccine begins to offer some relief. More than 205,000 new cases were reported Friday -- which likely consists of both Thursday and Friday reports in some cases, as at least 20 states did not report Covid-19 numbers on Thanksgiving. As of Saturday evening, more than 138,000 new cases and 1,100 deaths had been reported, according to Johns Hopkins University. The US has now reported more than 100,000 infections every day for 26 consecutive days....

Explanation: Grand spiral galaxies often seem to get all the glory, flaunting their young, bright, blue star clusters in beautiful, symmetric spiral arms. But small galaxies form stars too, like nearby NGC 6822, also known as Barnard's Galaxy. Beyond the rich starfields in the constellation Sagittarius, NGC 6822 is a mere 1.5 million light-years away, a member of our Local Group of galaxies. A dwarf irregular galaxy similar to the Small Magellanic Cloud, NGC 6822 is about 7,000 light-years across. Brighter foreground stars in our Milky Way have a spiky appearance. Behind them, Barnard's Galaxy is seen to be filled...

In her Georgia complaint, Sidney Powell included the declaration of Navid Keshavarz-Nia, an expert witness who stated under oath that there was massive computer fraud in the 2020 election, all of it intended to secure a victory for Joe Biden. Dr. Kershavarz-Nia's name may not mean a lot to you, but it's one of the weightiest names in the world when it comes to sniffing out cyber-security problems. We know how important Dr. Kershavarz-Nia is because, just two and a half months ago, the New York Times ran one of its Sunday long-form articles about a massive, multi-million-dollar fraud that...

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s 2021 budget passed the City Council today, with her closest vote—to raise the property tax levy—squeaking through 28-22. The revenue ordinance passed 29-21, and the spending plan passed 33-17. Each measure needed 26 votes. (snip) Lightfoot won over a number of aldermen by striking a deal with union officials to avoid laying off hundreds of city workers, by boosting spending on violence prevention programs by $10 million and agreeing to pilot a program that would have mental health workers respond to certain emergency calls, rather than police. In a press release, Chicago Federation of Labor President...

A Florida woman was arrested for allegedly setting up a dating profile advertising “free meth tonight” that sent suitors to her romantic rival’s home looking for sex, police said. Vanessa Marie Huckaba, 29, created the “Islandbabe1234” profile on the website Seeking Arrangement and included the name, photo, cellphone number and address of a woman who was dating her ex-boyfriend, according to an arrest report obtained by The Miami Herald. “Multiple strangers began arriving at the victim’s residence thereafter,” said Adam Linhardt, a spokesman for the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. Other creeps sent the woman naked photos of themselves. The 36-year-old...

Virginia traveled to Tallahassee in anticipation of playing the game and will leave to go back to Charlottesville at some point Saturday. Virginia had delayed its trip to Tallahassee to get all its test results back from Friday testing to try to avoid a situation like last weekend's Clemson-Florida State game. But given the roster situation at Florida State, it became clear the game could not be played. Last Saturday, the Clemson-Florida State game also was postponed after the chief medical officers from both schools could not agree about whether it was safe to play the game -- unleashing a...

RALEIGH, N.C. — Protesters from NC Born, ReOpenNC, the Proud Boys and groups from across the political spectrum clashed in front of the Governor's Mansion in downtown Raleigh on Saturday morning around 11:30 a.m. The energy between the groups was aggressive, with outraged remarks slung between speakers and chanters. The groups shouted back and forth, arguing over ideas like police violence, the mask mandate and the presidential election. "Y'all are gonna kill each other!" shouted one protester. A man speaking to the crowd said, "We're gonna reinstate the constitution. We're going to reinstate the Bill of Rights."

A recent report from Russian manufacturer RSC Energia, the prime developer and contractor of the Russian crewed spaceflight program, states that a number of elements aboard the International Space Station are on the verge of catastrophic failure. The comments were made by Soloviev during a meeting of the Russian Academy of Sciences Council on Space, which took place on 25 November, 2020 and were reported by Scientific Russia on their website. Sarah Fuller became the first woman to ever play in a Power Five college football game on Saturday when she kicked off for Vanderbilt in their showdown against Missouri. Because the Tigers came into the game 3-3 and Vandy 0-7, the historic element of the kickoff was pretty much the only thing folks tuned in for. Almost immediately, the reactions began to pour in on social media. They were largely what you’d expect.
