The federal government is processing U.S. citizenship applications at its fastest pace in decades, with thousands of immigrants becoming newly minted citizens every week, possibly helping sway the result of November’s election.
The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USIS) is taking an average of 4.9 months to process naturalization applications in the first nine months of the current fiscal year, a pace not seen since 2013 and 2014, according to a report from the New York Times.
The under five-month average processing time is a far cry from that pace set just three years ago, when it took roughly 11.5 months for authorities to process a naturalization application.
Overall, 3.3 million immigrants have become naturalized citizens since President Biden took office, in part thanks to the administration shortening the naturalization application to 14 pages instead of the previous 20. The administration also raised the fee to apply in April to $710, up from the previous $640, but made it easier for low-income applicants to qualify for a discount.
Green card holders, known as lawful permanent residents, become eligible for American citizenship after five years of holding legal status. Others can become eligible quicker, such as those married to an American citizen for at least three years.

‘citizens’ but not America loving patriots...
Yes, how many for each of the last 3-1/2 years?
Shouldn’t it read “immigrants becoming democrat voters” at breakneck speed?
2024, 589,400
2023, 878,500
2021, 855,000
2020, 625,400
The average over the past 25 years has ranged from 600,000 to as many as 900,000 annually.
Aside from new citizens getting to vote, the bigger sleeper issue as that census counts illegal aliens, so the influx means more members of the house for sanctuary states.
We are done.
I feel bad for the honest immigrants who, over the years, have jumped through all the hoops, spent all the time, effort and money, to do it the right way. They must be feeling rather resentful.
In mine opinion, and this is just mine opinion, approximately 0.00000000000.

Bill Clinton had a similar accelerated program for naturalization back in 1996. I remember it well.
What they don’t know is these will be deemed null and void.

The key question about new citizens is this imo. Is the DC swamp bypassing the 5 year permanent residency requirement for becoming a citizen so that undocumented Democrats can help keep hopeful Trump 47 out out of the Oval Office?

Since worthless incumbent career federal lawmakers and renegade states have repeatedly proven that they are enemies of the people imo, it is now up to Democratic and Republican Trump supporters to effectively "impeach and remove" ALL (exceptions?) state and federal lawmakers and executives in November.
In other words, it's now up to Democratic and Republican Trump supporters to support hopeful Trump 47 with a new, Constitution-respecting Congress, new state lawmakers too, not only so that he will not be a lame duck president from the first day of his second term, but will support him to quickly finish draining the swamp.
Finally, let's not allow the anti-Trump media try to fade our memories of what we witnessed on July 13.

Count me in that category. I am Citizen for 54 years, since 1970 (longer than majority of citizens, born or naturalized).
Never collected one red cent free money from government for any reason, never laid off one single day in my 40 years working career.
most probably can’t even speak English....
Illegal aliens, don’t let them change the language.
Someone needs to whisper in the ears of SEIU that the breakneck speed of processing all of these applications is unfair to the dedicated federal employees doing the work, and they need two additional 20-minute breaks each day. That will get the average processing time back up to 11 months.
....... I wonder how many will vote for Kamela???? Will there be Enough strategically placed new voters in red electoral states to sway the election ???

Saw a clip..with lots of hijabs...
