Support for the unjustly terminated.I was recently engaged to develop documentation that could be used in support of unjust termination prosecution of US employers who had required COVID-19 vaccination of their employee(s) under threat of termination for non-compliance. On October 25, 2022 (one year ago), the NY State Supreme Court acted to reinstate all employees terminated for non-compliance with the State COVID-19 vaccine mandates. The story was covered at the time by Fox reporter Anders Hagstrom:New York Supreme Court reinstates all employees fired for being unvaccinated, orders backpayState Supreme Court found that being vaccinated 'does not' stop the spread of...

Judge Matthew Schelp of the Eastern District of Missouri issued an injunction halting President Joe Biden's Wuhan coronavirus vaccine mandate for Medicare and Medicaid workers in ten states Monday, citing a lack of approval from Congress. "The mandate requires nearly every employee, volunteer, and third-party contractor working at fifteen catogires of healthcare facilities to be vaccinated against SARS-CoV-2 (“COVID”) and to have received at least a first dose of the vaccine prior to December 6, 2021," court documents show. "Congress did not grant CMS authority to mandate the vaccine. Plaintiffs are likely to succeed in their argument that Congress has...
  • 7 Ways That You (Yes, You) Could End Up On A Terrorist Watch List (Keep readin', oldie)

Earlier this week, The Intercept published a 166-page document outlining the government's guidelines for placing people on an expansive network of terror watch lists, including the no-fly list. In their report, Jeremy Scahill and Ryan Devereaux highlighted the extremely vague and loosely defined criteria developed by 19 federal agencies, supposedly to fight terrorism. Using these criteria, government officials have secretly characterized an unknown number of individuals as threats or potential threats to national security. In 2013 alone, 468,749 watch-list nominations were submitted to the National Counterterrorism Center. It rejected only 1 percent of the recommendations.
  • Prop. 8 ruling ignores precedent, evidence and common sense

Even some who support same-sex marriage worry that, in striking down California's voter-approved proposition defining marriage as between one man and one woman, U.S. District Judge Vaughn Walker went too far. They are right -- and not the only ones who should be concerned. Walker's ruling is indefensible as a matter of law wholly apart from its result. By refusing to acknowledge binding Supreme Court precedent, substantial evidence produced at trial that was contrary to the holding and plain common sense, the ruling exhibits none of the requirements of a traditional decision. This opinion is arbitrary and capricious, and its...

One would think that "standing up for a stronger, more secure nation" would also include protecting our borders against the massive onslaught of illegal aliens and tons of illegal drugs entering with near impunity. Unfortunately, that is not the case at all. The federal government talks of terrorism. Well, when American citizens are not able to walk the streets of major cities because gangs of illegal aliens, not police, control those streets, we class that as terrorism. That came about, of course, because of the negligence of the central government. Our country's borders have major holes through which thousands of...
  • Calvinism Misses the Point of Grace

Calvinism misses point of grace, speaker says Looking at God's grace through a Calvinistic view is missing what God means by grace, a pastor told students at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary March 4. "Calvinism presents a God who arbitrarily selects some to be saved and some to be lost," Frank Page, pastor of Warren Baptist Church in Augusta, Ga., said in a chapel sermon. Grace, he said, is not a term of selection but an expression of love and acceptance. Calvinism is a theological system outlined by the 17th century Reformer John Calvin. It is built around five central points,...
