<p>AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) Candidate credibility was at issue Thursday as Republican gubernatorial nominee Peter Cianchette took rival John Baldacci to task for television ads depicting the Democrat as fiscally frugal.</p>
<p>The 30-second ads say Baldacci will save taxpayers money and back up the claim by stating his congressional office is run so well that Baldacci has returned $250,000 to the U.S. Treasury.</p>
