Failed GOP White House hopeful Herman Cain, who dropped out after a woman who said she was his mistress went public is staging a comeback of sorts, he announced on Monday--on the eve of the Iowa caucus. "Our mission continues, and we're on fire for 2012 and beyond!," Cain said in an e-mail, highlighting a list of media interviews he has booked. Cain is looking to regain some spotlight in a week heavy with Republican presidential politics--that he is no longer a part of. "....I will soon be announcing a major new initiative. This is a crusade so critical to...

Ginger White now says Herman Cain is not the only man in her life who gave her money. White, who has said she had a 13-year affair with Herman Cain, on Monday told the Daily Beast’s Leslie Bennetts that “Cain wasn’t the only man who helped her financially; her work history and her sex life have long been intermingled in complex and contradictory ways.’’

"Women For Cain" is an online national fellowship of women dedicated to helping elect Herman Cain as the next President of the United States. Mr. Cain has been a strong advocate for women throughout his lifetime, defending and promoting the issues of quality health care, family, education, equality in the workplace and many other concerns so important to American women. Gloria Cain is the National Chairperson for "Women for Cain" and is the very special woman who Mr. Cain devoted his life to many years ago. Mr. Cain and Gloria celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary earlier this year. The couple...

Here’s the news people on Twitter are buzzing about from tonight’s raincheck interview with the Manchester Union-Leader. We already knew this, though — sort of. Cain told Wolf Blitzer on Monday, before we had heard Ginger White’s name, that his wife didn’t know White. (Skip to 7:30 of this clip.) That’s ever so slightly different from saying his wife didn’t know about White or that he was sending her cash, but c’mon: If she did know that, don’t you think he would have mentioned it to Blitzer as proof that their friendship was no secret? Cain said that in about...

ATLANTA - Tea Party activists have been among the strongest supporters of Herman Cain, but a co-founder of the Atlanta Tea Party said she's changed her mind about a candidate she had defended. "I think he should withdraw from the race at this point but that decision is for Herman and his family to make," said Atlanta Tea Party leader Debbie Dooley. Dooley said she was troubled by Cain's denials following the FOX 5 I-Team report on Ginger White and her story of 13-year-long affair with Cain. White pointed to phone records showing repeated calls and text messages between the...

From the breaking news, one might think that with a woman who claims she had a 13-year affair with presidential candidate Herman Cain, someone is being seriously exposed as a hypocrite. That would be the press. The media can't deny they continue to display a lousy double standard. For Republican candidates, scandalous news is instant. For Democrats, it's eventual, if at all! Ginger White's charges sound a lot like Gennifer Flowers in 1992, when she said she had a 12-year affair with Bill Clinton. So many in the press pounce on Flowers as unequivocal evidence of the media's sense of...

Cain slammed by influential group of Iowa conservatives Cameron Joseph November 22, 2011 A top organization of Iowa social conservatives slammed Herman Cain as it narrowed its list for a possible presidential endorsement list. Cain and Ron Paul were dropped from The Family Leader's consideration, leaving Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, Rick Perry and Michele Bachmann as the possible winners. Mitt Romney did not seek the group's endorsement. Headed by the influential activist Bob Vander Plaats, the group criticized Cain, saying he lacked "clarity on the key issues of life, marriage, foreign policy, and presidential readiness" — a major diss to...

On Friday night, Herman Cain was a fly and David Letterman was the spider cordially inviting Cain to "step into my parlor." Didn't Cain or any of his advisors see the potential for disaster in Cain appearing on Letterman's show? Didn't anybody say, "Herman, don't go in there! It's a trap!"? I desperately don't want to be seen as one of those just itching for clear proof that Herman Cain's candidacy is over. But it's hard to have watched Cain on Letterman and not come to the conclusion that neither Cain nor his advisors have sufficiently good judgment for him...

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa- The KCRG-Gazette-Iowa State University poll of more than 1200 registered Iowa voters came out Thursday. Three candidates took nearly two-thirds of the overall vote. Herman Cain was at the top, with 24.5 percent. Not far behind, Texas Representative Ron Paul. Mitt Romney took about 16 percent. All other candidates polled in the single digits. When asked for a second choice, voters picked “can’t decide” more than 20 percent of the time, leaving a large gap of uncertainty in the race. In a somewhat surprising twist, Herman Cain polled better among women than other candidates in the poll....

As the Cain candidacy makes clear, women are learning to speak up about harassment, but confidential settlements can get in the way.

Herman Cain is theoretically a great candidate for president. He's a smart, black, successful, conservative "outsider." But as the reality sets in, it's clear that Mr. Cain is barely more ready for the office he seeks than Sarah Palin (or Barack Obama) was four years ago. Cain's performance in a long interview on Monday crystallized this view which has been forming in the minds of many GOP voters in recent weeks. Mr. Cain's responses in Saturday's Republican debate in South Carolina -- which focused on foreign policy -- were a bunch of platitudes about getting good advice before making a...

The Cain campaign reported today they have raised more than $9 million so far in the fourth quarter — roughly six weeks — and that 25% of that ($2.25 million) has come in since allegations of sexual harassment were made public on October 30.

Just when you thought that Hollywood is completely liberal, one of the few known conservatives in Tinseltown recently stepped forward to remind us otherwise. In this case, it's actor/director Clint Eastwood, who recently did an interview with the L.A Times where he talked about his political beliefs. Some highlights: Having started voting for GOP presidential contenders in 1952 with Dwight Eisenhower, Eastwood said he was tempted to break ranks only once — in 1992, for Ross Perot. “I liked him,” Eastwood said. “I guess because I like rebels.”... “...I’m a big hawk on cutting the deficit. I was against the stimulus thing...

Sharon Bialek of Chicago became the first woman accusing Herman Cain of sexual harassment to go public Monday, describing an alleged incident in Washington in 1997 in which the president contender, then the president of the National Restaurant Association stuck his hand up her skirt and tried to pull her head toward his crotch. "I said, 'What are you doing?'" alleged Bialek, who said she had contacted Cain for help getting a job. "You know I have a boyfriend. This isn't what I came here for." According to Bialek, Cain answered, "You want a job, right?" Bialek claims that after...
