The finalists are two Democrat blogs (one, Blue Indiana, is authored by a former Indiana Dem party staffer), Advance Indiana, a moderate blog authored by a gay Republican, and Hoosier Access the one truly Conservative blog on the list. Also is the RTV6 blog which is a blog extension of the MSM. Go HERE to vote. One vote per email address please - we're not ACORN, SEIU, or the Democrats you know.

Marion County City-County Councilman Ed Coleman is switching parties from Republican to Libertarian. Coleman, who was first elected as an At-Large candidate in the Republican take over of the Council and Mayor’s office in 2007, has come under fire from the fellow Republican Councilmen and the County party for bucking party line on votes as well as voting against the Mayor on issues he deemed too intrusive for government…even local government. Coleman, who apparently has been mulling a switch for quite some time, was originally targeted by Democrats as a potential new party member, but conservative political convictions kept him...

I'm posting this for a friend and FR Lurker Go on to the Howey Political Report and vote for my predecessor as Harrison County GOP chairman (and the current 9th District GOP Chairman), Larry Shickles, in the poll for most influential political party chairman. Scroll down a bit, the poll is over on the right. Howey Political Report It'd be nice for a guy from Harrison County (and southern Indiana more generally) to do well in that poll. Larry is the only Republican from southern Indiana listed. This year, Larry has done a lot of work in the 9th District...

You may remember Barney Smith from Fairmount, Indiana. He spoke at the Democrat National Convention Thursday night and was one of the people who introduced Barack Obama. He will be remembered for the line “I want a president who cares more about Barney Smith than they do about Smith Barney.” A great well-written line that many people remember. On Thursday night in Denver, when he introduced Barack Obama, he claimed to be a “lifelong” Republican. But it looks like the Democrats lied about his affiliation, or at minimum never took the time to check him out. You would think that...

INDIANAPOLIS - President Lincoln was once asked what makes a good politician. And the man who was 3-2 in political races, winning a U.S. House seat, losing two Senate races before claiming the American presidency twice, answered, “To be able to raise a cause which will produce an effect, and then fight the effect.” When Barack Obama takes the stage before 70,000 people in Invesco Stadium in Denver tonight and an expected huge national television audience, it will be a moment that demands not only his greatest oratorical skills, but also a weave of detail that will convince a skeptical...

So I was watching the "frammin' and bammin' and bangin'" of NASCAR Sprint Cup at Bristol, Tennessee. After a 10 car pileup the TV cameras were huddled outside the medical clinic awaiting the drivers' exit and getting the interviews. In the background of the TV shot there was a door to the medical clinic. On the door of the medical clinic I saw this logo: Being a political junkie I thought "WHAT THE F? Did some moonbat sneak a Obama logo onto the door of the medical clinic?" After closer look I see it is the logo of Wellmont Health...

Take a listen to Baron Hill as a caller (Scott Tibbs of ConservaTibbs.com) calls in to question Baron Hill's endorsement of B. Hussein Obama in spite of Obama's opposition to BAIPA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MkbokHs5lqI

For the true Obamaniacs, it seems B. Hussein Obama has become almost a deity - since a number of moonbats are agnostic, atheist, or other why not worship a Presidential candidate. So with that in mind I thought I would help out with their own … The Obamassiah’s Prayer…. Our Obama, who art in Chicago, Hollow be thy Words. Thy Presidency come, Thy nation will be done for, In the White House as it is in Congress. Give us this day our daily bread line. And forgive us our mortgage debts, As we forgive our credit card debtors. And lead...

The following is a press release issued by Republican Congressional Candidate Jon Elrod: "Today I announce my decision to forego my candidacy for Congress, and to seek re-election to the statehouse. Much has happened in the past eight months since I announced last November. Our campaign reached out to voters with a positive message, fresh ideas, and a vision of a government that works. We ran on issues: balanced budgets, fully funded social security, and an end to earmarks. Two elections have passed, and the voters have chosen the victor. In the meantime, none stepped forward to continue my efforts...

"Gannett Co., the nation's largest newspaper publisher, said today its operating revenue fell 7.2 percent in February, hurt by a continued decline in real estate and employment ad sales." Awwww too bad.

Who would you support? Someone who will fight for your right to defend yourself, or someone who has consistently voted to leave you defenseless while on the Indianapolis City-County Council
