*BARF ALERT* Indiana Political Writer Equates B. Obama to A. Lincoln
Howey Political Report ^ | 8/28/2008 | Brian Howey

INDIANAPOLIS - President Lincoln was once asked what makes a good politician. And the man who was 3-2 in political races, winning a U.S. House seat, losing two Senate races before claiming the American presidency twice, answered, “To be able to raise a cause which will produce an effect, and then fight the effect.”

When Barack Obama takes the stage before 70,000 people in Invesco Stadium in Denver tonight and an expected huge national television audience, it will be a moment that demands not only his greatest oratorical skills, but also a weave of detail that will convince a skeptical electorate that he is ready to lead a great nation struggling with inertia and doubt in a complex and harrowing world.

In the latest Gallup Daily Tracking, Obama now leads John McCain 48-42 percent, though on Monday McCain had a 46-44 percent advantage, the first time that had happened since Obama had the Democratic nomination bound up. But on the question, “Is he a strong and decisive leader?” McCain has a 48-40 percent advantage.

When I talk with my Republican friends about Obama, the conversation almost certainly turns to the notion of “experience.” And my standard answer has been this: If you were to line up the 1860 resumes of Edward Bates, Salmon Chase, William Seward and Abraham Lincoln and make a decision based strictly upon that, you wouldn’t have chosen Lincoln. And when you compare the Obama and Lincoln resumes, there is some similarity. Lincoln had served two years in Congress and eight years in the Illinois legislature. Obama is in his fourth year in Congress, served eight years in the Illinois Senate and had endured a defeat in his first run for Congress.

"Indiana Political Writer Equates B. Obama to A. Lincoln"

- Lincoln was a Republican who abolished slavery.

- Obama is a Democrat who enslaves people on the welfare plantation.

There is no comparison unless you are looking for opposites.

I think a better equation is B. Obama = A. Hole

But Obama already said he doesn't look like "all those presidents on the dollar bills".

How many presidents have there been on dollar bills?

He doesn't look like any of the presidents on any denomination of bill.

Plus he is a hoser.

He supports Obama and I asked him to name me one thing that Obama has done and he says “he helped homeless and black people in Chicago!” LOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!! I said “THAT makes him ualitfied to be POTUS!!!” and then asked again to name one thing and he could not but yet started his liberal spin...I had all the answers he had none. I now hate my mailman for real.

John McCain knew Abraham Lincoln. Abe was a friend of his. And John can tell you-

OBAMA AINT NO LINCOLN!!

Keep up the assinine hyperbole, Democrats. You will erase Obama’s appeal yourselves. It will not require any effort on our part.

Don’t they get it? (silly rhetorical I know.) I love election years. Democrats surround themselves with like minded morons, pump out endless gushing crap on how great their candidate is, cook up some polls, notice how many more poeple show up at their rallies- and then get there asses handed to them at the booth.

They just don’t get-

-that their phony polls are phony. hey actually let themselves believe them.
- that Republicans are honest hard working porductive popele who are actually busy living their productive lives and don’t have the time to protest and march and attend rallies and call talk show, etc. But they sure show up at election time.
- hat Republicans don’t blow their mouths off about their politics. Sure maybe you never hear anyone say they plan to vote for McCain while morons by the millions openly bad mouth the president and praise Obama.

The silent majority is alive and well and will elect John in 40 days.

Lincoln also prosecuted an extremely unpopular war that he believed was necessary. He thought it would cost him the election in 1864, but refused to cave in to political pressure.

Hating persons is pointless and self-demeaning. Please reconsider. Reserve your rancor for his misguided beliefs. Moreover, if he senses your anger he might trash can your political campaign solicitation letters.

Actually, the comparison between Barak Obama, and Abraham Lincoln is accurate. Lincoln was a tyrant, who imprisoned thousands of Americans in Concentration Camps, as a result of political dissernt. Lincoln shut down over two hundred newspapers, because of political dissent. Lincoln ordered the arrest of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. Lincoln ordered the arrest, and deportation, of Congressmen VanLandingham from the North. Lincoln ordered the confiscation of personal firearms, in contravention of the Second Amendment. Lincoln invaded 13 states, killed old men, women, and children, waged a war on civilians, and created concentration camps for political dissidents.

Frankly, I don't believe that Barak O'Bama will be that bad.

I also believe that Americans, (particularly Yankees) deserve a taste of socialistic-communism, because they think that they can get "something for free" from government. We are going to see the united States become a "third world country", because we are living on a debt based economy.
