I have a very good memory when I was very young. I remember FDR’s speech on December 8, 1941, air-raid drills, when all the lights had to be off and the black window shades pulled all the way down so that no light could be seen from the outside. I was less than 18 months old at the time.
I was in Iran during the revolution and saw the havoc firsthand. The Shah was trying his best to Westernize Iran and promoting women into roles other than being homebodies. We now see how well that worked out with the return of the Ayatollah Khomeini.
Let us not forget that he ousted the Shah of Iran in order to bring in a “Man of Peace”, the Ayatollah Khomeini to rule Iran. Since then, everything has gotten deadlier for Middle Eastern Countries.
Especially since it was during his administration to oust the Shah of Iran and bring back the Ayatollah Khomeini. It is then then the different wars started in the Middle East.
Also, while the Shah of Iran was in power, he was the second largest friendly military power to the United States, with the first being Isreal in the Middle East.
You can thank Jimmie Carter for the mess that we have today. Because he wanted the Shah out and the Ayatollah in. Iran prior to the revolution was the 2nd strongest ally the United States had in the Middle East. None of this current nonsense was going on.
