Republican lawmakers are slamming the Trump administration’s decision to halt some U.S. missile and munitions shipments to Ukraine, warning it risks emboldening Russia at a pivotal point in the war.
Republican Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, co-chair of the Congressional Ukraine Caucus, said he would be “aggressively looking into this matter” following the White House’s acknowledgment that the Pentagon froze deliveries of critical air defense weapons due to concerns over shrinking U.S. stockpiles.
“We must build up our own defense industrial base here in the U.S. while simultaneously providing the needed assistance to our allies who are defending their freedom from a brutal invading dictator,” the Pennsylvania representative said in a post on X. “To not do both is unacceptable.”
Fitzpatrick later requested an emergency briefing from the White House and Pentagon.
Lawmakers of varying political stripes called the holdup of weapons approved during the Biden administration a breach of Trump’s renewed commitment to Kyiv at last week’s NATO summit, where the president floated selling Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine. POLITICO first reported the news on Tuesday, and since then, Kyiv has summoned a U.S. diplomat to explain the hold.
Rep. Michael McCaul (R-Texas) said he is probing “very intensely” whether the Pentagon’s freeze is a breach of Ukraine aid legislation that Congress passed in 2024. He also argued the pause is coming “at the wrong time,” weakening Trump’s efforts to pressure Russian President Vladimir Putin to negotiate a peace deal with Ukraine.

They MUST BE called out for their treason and removed from office asap.

So he represents Ukraine in the congress? POS should STFU and go fight on the front lines. Tough guy.
Hey Fitz, stick one of those Ukie bombs square up your azz.
“Knowing they are mutually exclusive, these so called Republicans put Ukrainian security above American security.”
Here’s the question: CLEARLY Biden’s Women knew just how DEPLETED our military had become (no surprise, with their Just-in-Time inventories)...yet they kept pushing Ukraine to fight what was a clearly a LOSING WAR.
Which leads to the question: What do Ukrainians think about the policy of the Biden Women (and Europe, for that matter) when the Biden Women (and Europe) knew the outcome could only be more dead Ukrainians and more land lost to Russia, due to the West running out of weapons (which is our condition now)?
Given that, I wouldn’t be surprised if Ukraine FINALLY understands just how badly they were used by the Hormonely-Charged Biden Women and responds by putting an end to their (Western-manufactured) hatred of Russia.
Really no different than the Chechens, when they wised up to how the West was using them, wound up flipping sides and are now buddies with Russia.
I hope Russia wins and we finally have peace.
We should not support Ukraine to the point of emptying out own arsenals, which is the point at which we find ourselves. We can no longer supply the munitions Ukraine wants without disarming ourselves. This is a really stupid idea.
“ pivotal point in the war”
When has the pivot ever been toward UKR military success vs Russia that would lead to their defeat and withdrawal?
They’re not Republicans if they’re still wanting to send shit to Ukraine. Let them pay for that crap themselves.
“So he represents Ukraine in the congress? POS should STFU and go fight on the front lines. Tough guy.”
He’s a TRUMP HATER.

He also has some ‘personal connection’ to Ukraine, per Wikipedia.

America first. The munitions are getting low. Common sense says we insure no ourselves first.
Ukraine sure has a lot of representation in the US Congress!
Far and away, mostly Democrats.
With that many wallets to fill no wonder little z
needs forty billion $s annually.
I think I understand the problem we have with Ukraine now, Ukrainians have invested in Members of the US Congress.
Why should we flush our arms down the toilet in a war Ukraine won’t win?
Zelensky needs to surrender. Even his EU neighbors won’t help him because they’ve screwed up their own countries with socialism and islamism.
