Veteran airline captain Sherry Walker said the infestation of DEI hiring programs has eroded safety standards so much that some pilots are afraid to take a bathroom break for fear their unqualified co-pilot might crash the plane in their absence.
Walker, who has been a commercial airline pilot for nearly 35 years, made the alarming revelation to Tucker Carlson in a podcast that aired Monday.
Carlson said he doesn’t want a person who espouses irrational propaganda — such as gender is a social construct — flying his plane.
“That’s irrational,” Carlson said. “That’s what freaks me out. It’s irrational. So if you believe in something so irrational, I don’t want you flying my airplane. “
Walker replied, “I don’t want you flying next to me on that airplane because I have to get up on a 10-hour flight and go take a break or go to the bathroom. How are you going to behave when I’m not here?”
She continued: “We got pilots that are asking those questions right now. They’re saying, ‘I’m not comfortable leaving the flight deck.'”
Sherry Walker has been a commercial airline pilot for almost 35 years. She says DEI has so completely undermined safety standards that pilots are sometimes afraid to leave the cockpit for fear of what their co-pilots will do unattended.
Walker said pilots are required by law to take a nap during an eight-hour flight, but some are afraid to take mandatory breaks because they’re terrified of leaving an unqualified co-pilot alone in the cockpit.
The public outcry against DEI hiring practices that prioritize a candidate’s race, gender, or sexual orientation above qualifications has become a flashpoint amid a series of deadly airline crashes.

I don’t blame the veteran pilots in this case.
My old joke.
In the air in a jumbo jet, Pilot A says to Pilot B: “I’m nervous. You take over the landing. I admit I was hired for the affirmative action quota and I failed everything in flight school. I can’t really fly a plane.”
Pilot B: “Darn it. That’s what I was just going to say to you about me.”
Otto to the rescue!
Great scene.
DEI is like crabgrass infecting a lawn. Once established its almost impossible to eradicate and the lawn is eventually ruined. If any pilot can’t pass a revaluation, then ground and fire them.

I’d like to agree, but isn’t this exaggerated? Takeoffs and landings would seem to be far more challenging than the level flight that makes up a majority of an eight-hour flight. Surely, with any training at all, less experienced pilots can handle level flight.
Don’t dismiss Air France 447 either. Captain was on “break” when the two newbies couldn’t keep the A330 aloft and stalled the plane into the Atlantic.
Perhaps not DEI, but certainly not the caliber of pilot I want in charge when flying my loved ones.
Wish there was a way to learn who was going to fly the plane on any given flight...oh, he wears a dress, I’ll take the next flight thank you...
Alliactbar!
I might want to know if I have a muslim pilot.

Textbook Cloward Piven.
Push chaos continually until disaster strikes.
Air Marshals need to provide relief breaks for pilots now
Delta used to boast about their “ALL FEMALE COCKPITS”, until a plane was FLIPPED during landing in Toronto.
Nothing to worry about, when I learned to fly many years ago they taught us the plane would land no matter what happens once it takes off...
